Chapter 5

"This is the lunchbox that woman brought, it's just as cheap as her.

"Mr. Gates, you’ll be able to buy such lunchboxes in any supermarket. I can’t believe how irresponsible the receptionists are. They would just let anyone into the company."

Lily was still chattering away, not noticing Simon's face getting darker and darker.

"Lily, you're just a secretary, you’re in no position to make decisions about the company."

After Lily heard those words, her mood became even worse after Simon had left.

She blamed it all on me.

"You bitch, causing Mr. Gates to speak heavily to me."

A weird light flickered across her eyes as she stared dead at my belly.

"Do you think Mr. Gates will praise me if I cut your belly open?"

I braced myself and looked at her like a monster.

I couldn’t feel any movements in my womb after she had kicked me.

The baby was already dead and so was my heart.

Now she was even trying to dig my baby out.

I pursed my lips and told myself that I would need to stay alive
