"Why is her face so swollen?"

When Lily saw that Simon had noticed my face but didn’t react otherwise, she felt relieved and continued to fabricate her story.

What she didn’t know was that Simon didn’t recognize me because my face was completely swollen and covered in blood. I had never been in such a pitiful state in the past.

The situation was so dire that even Simon, who had known me since childhood, couldn’t immediately recognize me. Simon appeared anxious and stood up.

“Alright, I hope this doesn’t happen again. Replace the receptionist and fire the security guards downstairs.”

Simon's anger silenced everyone. After making the arrangements, Simon was prepared to leave again.

But he felt something tugging at his pants and looked down to see me clinging desperately to his pants.

“Simmy…”

At the mention of Simmy, Simon’s entire body trembled. It was his nickname, known only to the two of us.

Jealous, Lily rushed over, trying to separate us. “Mr. Gates, this woman is insane.
