Chapter 5

"I didn’t touch it," I said, my eyes red as I looked at him.

"I don’t even know your password."

Lily sat quietly off to the side, not saying a word.

Luna quickly jumped in to back me up.

"It was me. What’s the big deal? We’re supposed to be managing the company together, right? Am I not allowed to check the files?"

At that, Chris jumped up from his seat, his face filled with panic.

He must have forgotten that Luna knew his computer password.

"Did you see anything?" he asked, his voice tense.

"I just glanced at the monthly report and left," Luna replied nonchalantly.

His tightly wound expression relaxed a bit, and I finally let out a sigh of relief.

After Luna left, the first thing Chris did was head straight to the study.

I guessed he was going to change the password.

That night, he held me close as we went to bed.

I didn’t want to be near him, but he wouldn’t leave. He kept whispering in my ear, "Let’s have more kids.
