Chapter 24

"Let him go." Matt firmly promised Jeff as they both held the girl's arms.

Furi looked around at the two young men and was confused about what to do.

The chaos that is happening in its classroom also quickly spread throughout their sections. That's why the rest of them broke the pace and headed to the last section to get involved in the conflict between the two.

The rumors about the three also reached the upper sections. Even Trixie couldn't believe what she found out and immediately went to her classroom.

When he got there, he saw that the students were already gathering outside while taking pictures and videos of them. Trixie walked closer to the classroom and stopped for a moment when she saw and confirmed that Matt was the man inside.

"Stop it, you two! Can you, let me go!" Furi said angrily to the two young men, but they didn't listen to him and just looked at each other.

Kim went inside for a moment and was stunned to see Furi being held by two men.

"Furi, what's going on here?" he asked his friend who turned to the three.

"Let him go." Jeff said in a deep voice. Matt didn't say anything, instead he just turned around and noticed that the students outside were making a fuss while they were being photographed. At that moment, his eyes also caught Trixie, who was standing near the window while quietly looking at him.

Furi seemed to notice that right away, so he followed her with his eyes until he realized that Trixie was the only woman who had caught his attention. He turned his gaze to Matt again and he slowly let go of his hand.

At that moment, he suddenly felt pain and sadness in his heart. He wanted to hold her hand again but he was stunned and did nothing.

Jeff took her by the wrist again and they left the classroom together. Matt just followed the two and bowed his head. After a few moments, he left the classroom and headed back to their class.

After that, the students who were having sex outside also returned and the gossip that spread about Jeff and Furi's relationship got even louder. But it spread more and became more noisy since Matt intervened in the issue of the two.

"Oh my gosh! Is what I saw earlier true?"

"Wait a minute! So, does that mean the rumors about Jeff and Furi are true?"

"By the way, Kim! aren't you two best friends with Furi?"

"Yes! After all, you are very close to each other, maybe you expected this to happen to them, right?"

"Wait a minute, did he also tell you who he bet more of the two?" Annie asked him.

"If I were Furi, I'd just have them both at the same time!" he added but Kim just bowed his head and didn't speak.

"Kim, maybe you want to share with us about Furi's secret, how he attracted the two upper class people. Maybe, something has happened to them, right? So, the two are fighting over him ?" Ashley promised her weakly, so Kim just looked up and just looked at her.

"Hey, Kim! Why don't you answer that? Don't tell me that Furi is also keeping a secret from you about that?" after Annie said, Kim bowed her head again and bit her lower lip.

"Omg? didn't he? He didn't really tell you that the two of them were dating him?"

"Poor girl. I thought you two would be best friends forever? It looks like he's just using you!" Annie said as she and Ashley looked at each other and laughed. Just a few moments later, their Filipino subject teacher suddenly entered their classroom. So they immediately returned to their respective places and so did Annie and Ashley.

Kim turned to Furi's place for a moment and was firmly holding the ballpoint pen he was holding in his hand.

"What the hell, let me go!" Furi said to Jeff and he just let go of him when the two of them were far away.

"Are you okay?" he asked and the girl smirked.

"It's okay? do you think that after you drag me here I'm still going to be okay?" he said as he raised and showed the young man his wrist that was red because of the tight grip on him earlier.

"I'm sorry." That's all he said on his lips and then he walked away from the girl.

"Wait a minute! where are you going? what is this? after you dragged me here and then you left me alone. You have a strong head, don't you?" after he said that, Jeff stopped walking for a moment and turned to him. He approached Furi again but he was surprised and just backed away.

"Wha.. why? w-what are you going to do?" he stammered. When the young man suddenly took her by the hand and she covered her wrist with a handkerchief that was red because of him.

Furi was shocked and stunned by him. His heart rate seemed to speed up again and he swallowed deeply.

"What do you want me to do? You might end up in more trouble if you go with me." He responded with a deep voice and a serious face. After that he turned his back on her again and walked away from her. But he immediately stopped when Furi stopped him and held him by the arm.

"Just a moment." He said at the same time he turned to the girl.

"Are you good at jumping?" he said smiling to him. The young man seemed confused by what he heard and just shook his head.

"Jump?" he asked with a hint of surprise on his face. The girl didn't answer him, instead he took her by the hand and they ran.

Although Jeff was still surprised and confused by what she wanted to happen, he quietly followed behind the girl, looking at her hand that was holding him.

A sweet smile appeared slightly on his lips and he looked at Furi's face again. In those moments, he felt even better and felt closer to the girl.

After a while they stopped running and panting. Jeff just smiled again when he saw that they were both sweating and catching their breath.

"Is this what you're talking about? What are we going to do here?" he asked as Furi turned to him.

"What else, let's go to cucutting classes." He replied that it surprised him.

"Huh? cutting classes?" he said at the same time he turned to the wall that was just on the side of the two of them.

"So, what you were saying earlier about jumping-" he couldn't continue what he was saying when the girl suddenly approached him and covered his mouth.

"Sssh! someone's coming." This is a weak promise to him. Jeff was shocked when he realized that they were very close to each other. He could almost feel his heavy breathing, as well as his future clinging to his chest. So he just stared at her face and like a rock suddenly stiffened where he stood.

After a few moments, Furi let go of him and stepped away from him. It was only then that he let out a deep breath and held onto the wall. The girl seemed surprised at him but he didn't pay much attention to her either.

"What's up? It's game on!" he said as Jeff turned to him.

"Huh? what game?" he wondered as he avoided looking at Furi.

"Sit down. I'll go up." This order surprised him.

"What!?" he said at the same time he covered his mouth when he realized that his words had become louder.

"Hurry up, before anyone sees us!" it ordered the young man again.

when Matt entered their classroom, he and Trixie looked at each other, while she was sitting in her chair.

After a few moments, he suddenly stood up and approached her.

"Let's talk." The girl said to him and suddenly he left their classroom. Matt immediately followed him and the two of them went to a place where no one would see or hear them.

"What did I see earlier?" Trixie asked as she turned to Matt.

"What are you talking about?" the young man said to him.

"The one about you and Jeff and the guy from the last section. Tell me, is that what you're telling me you're going to?" he was curious, but the young man didn't answer him right away and just looked around them.

"What do you want to hear from me? isn't everything between the two of us over a long time ago?" he said with both his hands in his pockets.

"Long time? It's been less than three months since we broke up, isn't it?"

"So, what do you want to get out of me now? That I can't like someone else even if I want to?"

"Not like that, Matt! A little respect for the two of us together."

"Respect? Didn't I give in to your desire to break up with me? Did I, did you at least respect how I would feel the moment you left me alone in the air?" he said and Trixie just bowed her head at what she heard.

"You're free now, aren't you? I gave you what you wanted to happen. So let's not bring back what was in the past." He said as he turned back.

"But you told me then that you would wait! You will wait for me until I am ready." Matt stopped walking for a moment but he didn't listen to her anymore and just kept walking.

The girl wiped the tears from her eyes and just passed Matt, bumping into his shoulder. The young man stopped walking and looked after him.

He just sighed and turned away for a moment. Until he caught sight of two students climbing the yard.

He came a little closer to observe that student and he was shocked when he realized that Furi was the woman carrying Jeff's shoulder, while she was helping him to climb the wall.

"What are they both doing?" he said and was about to approach her but the two immediately jumped out of the school.

"Wait! where are they planning to go?" He wanted to go up to the yard as well, but he couldn't. So he just went to the entrance of the school and informed the security guard that there were two students planning to cut classes.

Matt and the guard hurried out of the school gate as he beat the two repeatedly. Furi and Jeff immediately stood up when they heard the guard yell at them, so they immediately ran and ran away hand in hand.

Matt quickly chased after them while the guard was left behind and surrendered to his pursuer.

"Ays! it's so silly!" Jeff said as he looked back at Matt who was really determined to catch up with the two of them.

"Is the guard still after us?" asked Furi and it was obvious that he was out of breath from running.

"Huh?" that's all he said and he was about to turn to Matt but Jeff quickly stopped him and pulled him inside the bus.

"Ride! speed!" at the same time he pushed the girl inside it.

"JEFF!!" The young man shouted at him loudly but he just shrugged and laughed.

"Get ready for me when I catch up with you." He said more and he chased the two even faster, but the bus they were riding in started moving immediately so he didn't catch up.

Jeff almost burst out laughing when he saw Matt still following them. Furi seemed to be curious about what he was looking at and laughing at, so he peeked out the window for a moment. He was shocked when he realized that it was Matt who had been chasing them.

So he suddenly stood up but Jeff stopped him immediately.

"Where are you going?" he asked the girl.

"Matt! Matt was the one chasing us earlier." He said he was surprised when Jeff let go of him.

"Yes."

"What? You know he's the one chasing us but you still thought of leaving him?"

"What do you want? to make him late? Have you forgotten, he's the school president!" he said annoyed and suddenly he looked at the window. Furi didn't do anything either, so he just sat next to her again.

"So, where are we going?" the young man suddenly turned to him.

"Huh? what where?"

"Wait a minute, maybe you're forgetting that you were the one who invited me to take cutting classes!" after he said that, Furi quickly covered his mouth and simply turned around them.

"Don't be loud! Maybe someone will hear you!" he scolded the young man softly and suddenly removed his hand that was holding his mouth.

Jeff was just mesmerized by him and was silent. His heart beat seemed to speed up and get even stronger at the same time he swallowed deeply when he looked at the red lips of the girl.

"Hey, pervert!" Furi called him softly as his eyes were closed.

"Per-pervert?" he was curious.

"Yes, you are. Can you stop staring at me like that? My hair is standing on end." He said firmly as he turned to the young man. Their eyes met each other again and Jeff also held his breath when he brought his face closer. It was only for a moment and he leaned back in his seat. The young man almost looked like a rock and couldn't look at the girl next to him.

When Jeff opened his eyes, he was shocked to realize that Furi was no longer by his side. He looked around at every passenger on board, but he couldn't catch the girl where she was going.

"Excuse me, did you notice where the girl next to me went earlier?" he asked the two girls opposite him.

"Yes, actually he just got off and he's even with another guy." This response surprised Jeff even more. He stood up for a moment and immediately got off the bus.

He seemed unfamiliar with the place he had been to. He noticed that there was a carnival on the other side of the street while many tourists were strolling around him.

He just looks at every person he meets. He was desperately looking for the girl, but with the size and the number of people there, he was having a hard time finding where to find her.

"Damn it, monkey girl! really get ready for me when I see you." He said annoyed to himself. After a while, two women noticed him. He smiles and follows her. He just frowned and simply bowed his head.

"Come on! He's handsome! Is he an actor?" a woman whispered to her companion. Jeff heard that, so he just avoided it and walked in another direction.

He was stunned when he realized that he was in front of the carnival. He just looked up and suddenly felt fear in his chest.

"Why am I here?" he promised himself weakly and was about to leave when suddenly Furi and Matt appeared in front of him together.

"Jeff!" the girl called him.

"You, monkey girl!" he said angrily as he pointed at Furi.

"Are you crying?" Matt asked him gently, so he turned his attention to the young man and the two eyebrows met.

"You! what are you doing here?" he wondered as he watched her from head to toe, but nothing had changed in her and she was still in her school uniform.

"Have you forgotten? I'm Matteus Xenos!" he replied to her loudly while holding both of his hands.

"So, what is the school president doing here at the carnival?" he said smiling.

"Is that still being asked?" They both looked at Furi at the same time.

"Wha..why? Don't tell me you're both too cowardly to go in there?" the girl said to him, but suddenly Matt put his arm around her shoulder. Jeff's gaze followed this and suddenly removed his arm from the girl's shoulder. Matt just grinned and cupped his hands again.

"By the way, why are you crying?" Furi asked Jeff who turned around.

"Crying?" he wondered.

"What else? He thought he might be missing." Matt promised him with a smile.

"Hey! what do you think of me kid!?" this annoyed response to the young man.

"Then why are you crying?" Furi asked him gently.

"You're another one! Said I'm not crying!" he said at the same time he touched her cheek and he stopped suddenly when he realized that his eyes were in tears.

"See? don't tell me that saliva just splashed in your eyes." Matt jokingly told her while she laughed at him.

(Jeff's POV)

Francis Jeffrey Perez or better known as Jeff was only eight years old when his mother left him at a carnival.

He promised to return to her, but as dusk fell, he still did not return. He just cried and called his mother repeatedly, until a security guard noticed him and helped him get home.

But as soon as he stepped in front of their door, he noticed that the people inside were in a mess and crying. One of the people who caught his attention was his father who was crying while being hugged by his grandmother.

He approached her and only then did he realize that his mother had an accident and that's why she was unable to return to him.

It almost caused him great sadness and trauma. After that incident, it seems that he was also afraid to go or enter the carnivals, because his worry about his mother who had passed away was only renewed.

That's why her tears were just like that when she landed at a festival where there was also a carnival. He just rubbed his eyes and suddenly they went inside. He just followed behind Matt and Furi with his head bowed.

"Jeff, are you okay?" the girl turned to him and said. The young man didn't respond immediately, but was sweating profusely and shaking with fear.

The two stopped walking for a moment and turned to Jeff who was just standing where he was and was anxious around him.

"Jeff!" Matt called her but she didn't seem to hear him and the girl looked at each other.

Jeff's eyes seem to be spinning and all he hears are various whispers around him. His past when he was just a child and when his mother left him alone came to his mind again.

He repeatedly mouthed the words, "Where are you? You said you'd come back.. You said you'd come back to me, where are you Ma."

Just a few moments later, Matt suddenly put his arm around his shoulder and put the headset with music in his ear.

Jeff seemed surprised by what he did and regained his senses. He turned to the two for a moment and Furi noticed that tears were falling from his eyes again without realizing it.

"Maybe it's better if we go here some other day. There are too many people." That's all Matt said to the two of them and suddenly he walked out of the carnival. Jeff stared at Furi, but she just smiled at him and asked him to go out.

They just went to the sidewalk scattered outside and sold some souvenirs and food.

"Hey, do you have any money there?" Matt asked the young companion who turned to him.

"Huh? There's something." He said taking out his wallet from his pocket.

"Then buy it for us." At the same time, he pointed to the hotdog stick sold there. Jeff seemed suddenly surprised and he also turned to Furi who seemed to be avoiding him.

"hey, what's up? two of me. Big brother, he'll pay." Matt said more to the hot dog vendor and then he left them.

"You? what about you?" he asked the girl who was just following Matt's gaze.

"Huh? No. Thank goodness, I'm still full." He just said as he looked at the hot dog and swallowed. The young man noticed that, so he just grinned and took three hotdog sticks and handed them to Furi.

"Oh." He said as he handed over the three hotdogs. The girl was surprised and looked at him.

"Umf- go ahead. But just one." He took a hot dog at the same time but the young man still held three hot dog sticks to him, then he turned his back on him.

"You? Aren't you hungry?" the girl asked him as they walked together.

"Hungry." He replied with a smile on his lips. He reached out to the young man's hand and bit the hot dog he was holding. The girl seemed shocked and just stared at him.

"Thank you." He said with a smile on his face and continued walking again while Furi stood there like a rock.

A few moments later, someone suddenly approached him and suddenly put a rabbit hairband on his head.

"Well, not bad." Matt said to him.

"By the way, can you bite?" he said while pointing to the hotdog stick in his hand. Furi couldn't speak so he just nodded his head and grabbed the young man's hand, biting the food he was holding.

The girl just followed him and stared at his red lips. His chest pounded again and he swallowed deeply.

Why do I feel like I just want to be a hotdog? sailing it in his mind. But while he was just staring and dumbfounded at the young man, he didn't realize that he was slowly consuming the food he was holding.

"Hey! greedy!" Jeff suddenly approached them and suddenly pushed Matt away. The girl immediately came to her senses and looked at the stick she was holding. He was shocked and looked at Matt again wiping his mouth.

"It's so good that I couldn't stop it. Don't worry, I bought you a headband. Look, it's perfect for you." It said with a smile. Furi smiled from ear to ear and smacked the stick he was holding. But Jeff noticed that right away, so he grabbed the stick and threw it in the trash.

"Hey!" he said to the young man in shock and shouting.

"That's trash!" it promised him.

Matt seemed to be still surprised by what he was saying so he just turned around them, when he also caught sight of a group of women walking in their direction. That's why even though Jeff hadn't started counting yet, it was running right away. At the same time as he ran, he also reached out to the girl by the hand.
