Chapter 23

"By the way, I'm Matteus Xenos, who will be the wedding photographer at your wedding." The young man smiled knowingly at Furi, while he just looked at him dumbfounded and shocked.

"M-Matt?" he said but Matt just shook his head.

"Well, you can just call me Matt." He smiled like a promise to the woman in front of him.

"Don't you recognize me anymore?" he asked while pointing at himself.

"Excuse me? Have we met before? Or do you already know me? I'm sorry, because I had an accident 2 years ago, so my memory from the past has also disappeared a bit." After saying this, Furi quickly turned around as a tear suddenly fell from the corner of his eye and he immediately wiped it away.

"Sorry, excuse me for a minute." He said and he just went to the restroom and locked the door.

"He had an accident? but why? how?" he is curious about himself and his mind is confused.

"Is that why... is that why he didn't show up that day because he had an accident? But, why didn't I know about that? Why did they keep it a secret from me?" he said as he just sat down on the floor and leaned his head against the wall.

"Hey! Have you heard the gossip that is spreading now about Jeff?"

"Who's Jeff? Is he from the first section?"

"Yes, he is! Do you know that he is dating someone else?"

"Gosh! that's not new!"

"No, listen to me. Do you know who he is dating?"

"Who? That's probably the cheerleader in their class, right?" the cheerleader they refer to is Trixie, Matt's classmate.

"It's not him! It's the girl he slapped at the previous flag ceremony!"

"Oh my gosh!? Really?"

"Yes, that's it!"

"Isn't that her too? The girl walking with the lollipop?" at the same time it pointed in the girl's direction.

Jeff and Furi are currently the talk of the town. It is spreading that the two of them have a relationship. Because inside their school, not only are there many gossips or chismosos, but there are also many cctv scattered around them

Because the day Matt, Furi and Jeff were seen inside the school supplies shop who seemed to be discussing something seriously together, some other sections also saw them and even took a picture of them.

They immediately made it an issue because they knew Jeff was from the first section and Furi was from the last section. Because for other sections, it's a big deal when they see something wrong or strange in the students in the upper sections.

The first section is known as high class students. Smart, beautiful or handsome, talented, son of the rich and with a famous name. And Jeff is one of them, who is also admired by other women because of his strong appeal and good shape.

"Stop! are you Furi from last sections?" Violet asked him, the leader of the JF club or Jeff fan club group they formed.

Their group consisted of five women with different colored hair. First is Violer- their leader with red hair. Second is Fushia- the girl with pink hair. Bell was third- the one with the brightest yellow hair of them all. Fourth is Marsia, who has brown hair and lastly is Stormi, who has gray hair.

They are the group that other women hate and avoid, because apart from being spoiled brats, they also like to bully students. Especially when it has to do with Jeff, the dream boy of the five of them.

"Who are you?" Furi asked him. The five of them laughed and looked at each other as Violet pulled Furi's lollipop.

"You don't know us yet?" Violet said and suddenly brought her face closer to the girl.

"Should I know you?" he replied flatly with a raised eyebrow. Violet grinned and stepped closer to him again.

"Let's just see how far your courage will go." After saying this, he quickly touched the girl's hair, but he also stopped immediately when Jeff suddenly appeared.

"It's Jeff!" said the four in shock while holding Violet's hand.

"Jeff?" the girl with a gentle face called him softly and weakly.

"Let him go." The young man ordered when he noticed that he was holding tightly to Furi's long hair. He let go of it immediately and quickly hugged Jay Jeff.

"Thank you Jeff, you saved me!" he said while Furi just grinned and crossed his arms.

"Wow! best actress of the year!" he said clapping his hands so Violet suddenly turned to him.

"Jeff, tell me it's not really true that you're having a relationship with this girl, is it?" he asked while still pointing at the girl. Jeff just let out a deep breath and bowed his head.

"We need to talk." The young man pulled him by the hand.

The four just stared and followed the two. While Furi was left there alone and he just continued walking towards their classroom.

"There are a lot of crazy people around now." He just said to himself, he stopped walking when he saw Matt standing in front of their door.

Matt? a-what is he doing in front of our classroom? he was sailing in his mind.

Matt turned to him for a moment and he immediately turned his back on him.

"Ays! What is he doing there? Has Mrs. Chili sent him to watch over us again or is he going to take another exam? It's annoying! I was planning to take cutting classes today." He whispered to himself when he was suddenly touched by Matt's shoulder.

"Excuse me, aren't you also from the last section?" the young man asked him while Furi bowed and was shy to face him.

"Huh? yes." He said.

"Because Mrs. Chili sent me and told me to give this book to your secretary so that it can be written on your blackboard immediately." He said and suddenly he was handed a thick book.

Wait a minute, why is he handing the book to me? I'm not the one who writes to us. He whispered in his mind as he turned to Matt.

"Wait a minute, why me?" he pointed to the book he was holding.

"Aren't you Furi?"

"Huh? you know me?" he said in surprise.

"Because you are the one that girl is teaching me." After saying this, they both turned to Kim who was standing opposite the door and was still waving at them.

That's Kim! I was even taught to be a secretary, and I'm not the writer for us. I'm almost too lazy to do that, so why would I want to be the secretary of our class? sailing through his mind while staring at his friend.

"Ahh.. is that right? I'm Furi." He just said and then took the book from the young man.

"Okay, I'll just get the book from you tonight at lunch time."

Omg! is he coming to see me later? but I guess it would be better if I just went to him? he said again in his mind.

"Wait a minute! It's not anymore. I'll be the one to deliver this book to your classroom." He said that there was a parting of hair on the side of his ear.

"Okay, go ahead." He just replied as he turned around and went down the stairs.

"Bye, Matt. See you later." He said in a whisper that someone was still hugging the book that was given to him.

"Furi!" Kim suddenly called him.

"Congratulations, my friend!" the girl smiled and they both hugged.

"You're invited to our wedding, prenny." Furi said jokingly but Kim just poked him in the armpit.

Whereas..

"Whenever you really like trouble! why do you always appear in front of me?" When Jeff said that, he suddenly turned to the person he was talking to.

"Huh?" Violet just said to him in surprise.

"What are you doing here?" he wondered as he looked around them.

"What do you mean? You brought me here." The girl responded to him but he quickly let her go and walked back to Furi again.

"Don't leave me, Jeff. Please love me too." Violet suddenly hugged him from behind but he also moved away from her immediately.

"Stop dreaming, bitch!" he said at the same time he ran to get back to Furi but he was no longer there. So he decided to visit the girl in her classroom.

"Hi, Matt!" he greeted but was stunned for a moment when the young man grabbed his arm.

"Where are you going?" it asked him.

"Wait, I know you're the student president of this school- but should I still inform you of my every move and where I want to go?" Jeff smiled and took another step, but Matt stopped him again.

"She's mine." He quickly turned around at what he said and it seemed that he was serious about what he was saying. Jeff was silent for a moment, but he immediately burst out laughing.

"Who are you referring to? the cheerleader that I know or the woman I'm thinking right now?"

"Who do you think I am referring to?" Matt replied to him.

"I'm sorry, I just remembered someone who looks like you." Furi said to Matt, while wiping the tears from his eyes.

"Ahh that's right, well it's alright. They often mistake me for other people. Maybe he's important in your life that's why you suddenly became emotional."

Did he really not worry about me? Furi asked in his mind as he looked at Matt.

"By the way, I liked the wedding gowns you chose. Maybe we can use the others for your photoshoots." Matt said to him but his mind seemed to be wandering and he just stared at the young man.

"Are you okay, Ms. Furi? by the way, you might be wondering why I'm here-"

"Yes, I already know. My fiancé sent you here, didn't he?"

"Yes, your fiancé." He said a few words and immediately avoided looking at Furi.

How did he get into an accident? what happened to him? where and why? how is he now? is he in good condition? mixed questions in his mind.

"I think this suits you better," Matt pointed to the fitted gown at the same time.

"You want me to try?" after saying that, he suddenly got the gown and immediately went to the fitting room.

"Oh wait!" he called but he immediately went inside. So he just waited for him to come out and was fixing his camera.

How is he? what accident happened to him? why didn't they even inform me about that? he whispered to himself as his eyes bulged.

He sat down on the floor for a moment and no matter how hard he tried to keep the tears from his eyes, they still dripped on their own. She suddenly burst into tears when she remembers what he said to her earlier, especially about her memory loss.

"Stop it, Furi! You're getting married! You're getting married soon so forget about him!" he cried to himself as he looked in front of the mirror.

"Why does it seem like it's taking so long?" Matt looked at his watch at the same time and walked around while waiting for Furi to come out.

"What if he had an accident. What if he lost his memories. Isn't that better because he won't recognize me but why are you still crying, Furi? You're already past him didn't he? He forgot you. He forgot everything about you two. He doesn't remember you anymore, so forget him too." He said to himself and the tears still flowed from his eyes.

Matt waited patiently outside, while he took pictures one by one of the wedding gowns he had chosen earlier.

After a while, he came out wearing the fitted gown he showed Furi. The young man slowly turned to her and was almost stunned by her beauty, especially when she put on the gown.

He painted it immediately and approached Furi.

"Look, I think Sir will fall more in love with you when he sees this picture, won't he?" Matt said and he showed the photo of Furi in a wedding dress, but he wasn't listening to him but was just looking at his face.

"What do you say, Ms. Furi?" he said and he turned to the girl with tears in his eyes.

"Are you alright, Ms. Furi?" he asked, handing her a handkerchief. But he just rejected her and went back inside the fitting room.

He sat inside and leaned his head against the wall while covering his mouth so he couldn't hear him crying.

"Ms. Furi, I'm just going somewhere for a while. Don't worry, I'll be right back." He heard Matt say from outside the fitting room.

In just a few moments, the weight on his chest subsided. He got dressed immediately and heard his cellphone ring.

When he looked at the phone screen, he saw that the caller was Kim, his best friend.

"Hello, prenny? where are you now? let's go to-" he stopped speaking for a moment when he heard Furi's heavy sobbing from the other line.

"Furi? are you alright?" the girl looked at him worriedly.

"H..hi.. no." He said sobbing.

"Where are you now? I'm going to see you there. Tell me where you are?"

"K-kim, what should I do? I saw him."

"See? who?" it's curious.

"Kim, I'm confused. I feel like I want to feel sorry for him and hug him tightly. But I can't. Because he's already forgotten me. What can I do, Kim?" he said with tears in his eyes.

Meanwhile, Matt was on the side and quietly listening to him. He just bowed and walked out of the shop.

From the past.

(Matthew Xenos's pov)

While I was walking, I noticed a female student who came out of our classroom.

Maybe it was only around 6:30 am and I was always the first to enter our class. I'm used to always coming in early and because this is my only free time to think.

It's too toxic in our house, my parents are always fighting and it's not long before I'm about to experience a broken family.

When I entered the classroom, I noticed something like a small envelope on my seat.

"What is this?" I asked myself as I dropped my bag on the seat for a moment. I went near the window to throw the thing away, but I thought it wasn't the first time I'd received something like this.

That's why I opened it and saw that there was stationary paper inside.

"So, it's a love letter for me?" I read what was written and I thought maybe the girl I saw earlier and the person who always leaves me something in my locker are the same?

I went down to the locker room for a while and I saw a woman who also resembled the woman I saw earlier in the classroom. I immediately opened my locker and like before, I always found vitamilk inside.

If not vitamilk, chocolates or any other foods that I like.

However, I just ignored it because I didn't use my locker very often either. But I just thought, how did he know the password?

The next day I thought of going in earlier and I hid in the farthest seat, to watch for the girl who always leaves a letter on my seat.

A few minutes later, I heard the door open. I peeked a little and saw him heading towards my seat again.

I looked closely at his face but I couldn't really see him. He was wearing a black hat and a mask covering his mouth.

Did he know I was here so he disguised himself?

After he left, I came to my seat and saw a love letter again.

She's the girl I'm looking for. I followed him outside but suddenly he disappeared.

So I thought I'd just go down to the locker room again because maybe that's where he's headed now. When I got there, I saw him leaving, so I ran to approach him.

"Wait a minute!" I shouted as I was still chasing her but I suddenly met Trixie, she was also wearing a black hat like the girl I saw in the classroom.

"Matt?" he said in surprise.

"You, Trixie?" at first I thought that girl was Trixie. But I forgot a detail about him. Her mouth was wearing a mask and I suddenly realized that Trixie was not wearing a mask that day.

In the afternoon, it suddenly started to rain heavily. I just took shelter on one side while waiting for the rain to stop.

After a while someone suddenly stopped in front of me and he was riding a bicycle. I watched him from head to toe. He was wearing our school's P.E uniform while he was wearing a black hat and a mask.

He turned to me and handed me an umbrella. Our eyes met each other and I could only see his eyes because his mouth was masked.

She is that girl! I was surprised when I realized that she was indeed that girl who often came to our classroom. I tried to stop him but he immediately left after he handed me the umbrella.

The next day, every time I walked around the campus, I was turned around by the girls I met. Chances are I'll see him there. I always carry his umbrella with me so that if we meet again, I can at least thank him in person.

While I was walking towards the principal office, I was suddenly hit by a ball on the back of my head. I was out of balance and just lay on the ground.

"Omg! are you okay? sorry, really sorry we didn't mean to hit you." He said to me over and over while my vision was still blurry because of the force of the ball hitting me.

But after a few moments, I gradually saw his face. I was still lying down while he bent over me.

I was stunned when I saw his eyes and I slowly raised my right hand to cover his mouth.

I found her! I whispered in my mind.

"Furi! is he alright?" he suddenly turned to the woman who called him.

I finally found you!

when Matt realized that it was Furi who was leaving a love letter on his chair and putting gifts inside his locker, he thought of getting to know the girl thoroughly and didn't let him know what he knew. Instead, he keeps it in the same container and carefully hides it in a small box. If before he was annoyed every time he received a love letter, now he almost looks forward to every letter he leaves on his chair.

But since gossip spread about the relationship between the two of them and Jeff, he no longer receives letters from the girl. He still always leaves gifts in his locker but rarely. So she suddenly felt apprehensive and worried that she might have fallen for Jeff forever.

That's why he decided to get closer to the girl so that he can also get her wish.

"Trixie, please give this book to the secretary of the last sections. And please tell her to write on the blackboard the page I stuck there." Order of Mrs. Chilli at the girl and she also left.

Matt heard what his teacher ordered to his classmate Trixie, so he immediately stood up and approached the girl.

"Trixie!" he called and she quickly turned to him.

"Oh Matt, why?" he asked.

"Are you going to the last section?" he said, Trixie just nodded her head and turned away from him.

"I'll just take it there." He said so suddenly that the girl stopped walking for a moment.

"Huh?" it turned around with a trace of surprise on its face.

"Well, because I'm going there now." He said nervously as he avoided looking at the girl.

"You? going to the last section?" he said to the young man in surprise and he just nodded his head. Trixie shook her head for a moment and suddenly handed the book to the young man. It almost smiled from ear to ear and seemed to rush to the classroom of the last section.

He was still following Matt's gaze and was wondering how he was acting strangely. Because he often just sits in his chair all night until their class is over. He also rarely leaves the classroom, except when he goes to the restroom, library or when someone tells him to.

And as far as he knows, it doesn't go to any classrooms, especially the last sections. Which is at the very end and height of the building. But it also occurred to him that he might have something really important to say in the last sections, so he turned around and walked back inside their classroom.

Meanwhile, after Matt gave the book to Furi, he turned and walked down the stairs with a smile on his face.

"Hi, Matt." But he immediately took back the smile on his lips when he met Jeff.

Wait a minute, why is he here? he whispered in his mind and he quickly turned to the young man.

"Where are you going?" he said as he held her arm. Jeff turned to Matt and looked at his hand that was holding him.

"Wait, I know you're the student president of this school- but should I still inform you of my every move and where I want to go?" he said to her and suddenly she turned her back. He just turned his back and was about to walk down the stairs but he stopped for a moment.

Wait a minute. Isn't Furi the one he's going to? it floated in his mind and he turned to Jeff again.

"She's mine." The word suddenly came out of his mouth. Jeff stopped walking and smirked on his lips. He looked at Matt for a moment and put both of his hands in his pants.

"Who are you referring to? the cheerleader that I know or the woman I'm thinking right now?" she said still grinning and was about to turn her back but Matt quickly answered her and said,

"Who do you think I am referring to?" when he said that, they were both silent for a moment as they looked at each other warmly.

"Well, I'm not going to guess what you're talking about. But don't worry because I don't mess up with other people's business and because I only bother myself with important things. I'll leave you alone, Mr. School president." He promised him strongly and suddenly he walked towards Furi's classroom. Matt didn't do anything else and he just followed the young man's gaze while clenching his fist.

After Jeff arrived at the girl's classroom, he pushed open the door and immediately approached Furi. Everyone was surprised and just looked at him.

"Hey, monkey girl!" he said as he put his hand on the desk and brought his face closer to the girl.

"Monkey girl?" Furi smiled at him.

"Isn't he Jeff from the upper section? What is he doing here in our classroom?"

"Hala? Does that mean the gossip about the two of them is true?"

"Furi and Jeff?"

"Jeff seems really serious about him."

His classmates whispered while watching the two. Furi looked around for a moment and noticed that his attention was focused on the two of them. That's why he pushed Jeff away and suddenly he stood up.

"Hey, you! If you don't really stop me, I'm really going to break your face!" he boldly said to the young man while his arms were still open.

Jeff simply grinned and approached him again.

"I'm aware of that. That's why I'm here right now in front of you." He said in a deep voice so Furi stepped back for a moment and it seemed that he was suddenly nervous with his eyes on him.

"Omg! can't we stop them?"

"What if Jeff hurts him?" worried some of his classmates. Furi backed away from him while the young man stepped closer to him.

He only stopped when he leaned against the wall and a strong wind blew near the window. Because of that, Furi's hair was suddenly removed. So it sagged and her long hair fell.

Jeff was stunned by what he saw. Because it looks better when her hair is loose and she looks more like a woman.

He momentarily raised one of his hands and removed the strand of hair covering his face. The girl slowly looked up at him and stared in shock in his eyes.

"You look better with your hair down." He said weakly to the girl who suddenly made her heart beat faster.

Furi couldn't speak to him right away and just swallowed deeply. After a few moments, Jeff bowed to her and brought his face even closer to the girl. He was about to kiss her when Matt suddenly pushed him away from Furi and grabbed the girl by the wrist.

Everyone stood up and was surprised by what they witnessed. Especially when Matt came and stopped Jeff from what he was planning.

Even Furi couldn't believe what he saw and just looked at his hand holding her. A sweet smile appeared on the girl's lips and she looked at Matt's back with excitement.

"Matt?" Jeff said to him in surprise.

"What are you doing here? and so-" Jeff didn't continue what he was saying and just pointed to the hand that was holding Furi.

"Don't tell me.. you like her too?" he asked with a hint of surprise on his face. For a moment, Matt looked at his hand that was tightly holding the girl's wrist and suddenly he let it go.

"You, what are you doing here?" he turned to the young man in front of him.

"Don't you know about the rumors that are spreading between the two of us? Or are you just kidding?" he said with a smile on the side of his lips.

"What the hell are you doing? You're hitting on women too. Do you really have no intention of making up your mind, Jeff?" Matt just told him. Jeff grinned again and suddenly approached the two.

"So, this is the one you were talking about earlier? Now I know who you are talking about." Jeff whispered a promise in her ear.

"But let's just be patient because I'm ahead of you." He continued to say as he put his arm around the girl and she fell on his chest. Furi was shocked and tried to remove his hand that was holding her but he did not let her go. Instead, he forcefully pulled her out of the classroom but they also stopped immediately when Matt grabbed her by his other arm.

"Let him go." The young man ordered him gently but firmly.
