Accident

Aurora’s POV

The next morning, I bathed and anxiously stayed in my room. Every noise outside my door made me jump, hoping it was someone coming to help me. But no one came. Time passed quickly, and with it, the realization that I had to face whatever lay ahead.

At 7:00 AM, the door opened, and two of Father’s men entered the room. “It’s time,” one of them said gruffly, gesturing for me to follow.

“I’m not going,” I said stubbornly, and the men stood before me. “Your father has ordered us to carry you out if you refuse to follow us, so for your own good, we advise you to come with us willingly, or we will have to drag you along,” they said threateningly, and I knew too well that they would do just as they had threatened.

Standing to my feet, I followed them out of the room. As we walked down the corridor, my mind raced with thoughts of escape. I had to find a way out, a chance to reach Frederick and speak to him.
