Familiar city

Aurora’s POV

“Tiana, wake up! We are here.” I felt a tap on my shoulder and realized the jet had landed. “We are in California,” Cain announced to me, and I nodded before looking at William, who was still fast asleep.

“Let's go.” Cain stood on his feet and led us out of the jet, while William nanny carried William. Getting out of the jet, I noticed cars were already waiting for us, and Cain led us to a black SUV. Cain entered first, followed by William and then me. The three staff members who followed us entered the other vehicle.

The car started, and the driver drove off.

“Mom, look at that,” William pointed to a building as he played with his colorful blocks. Cain, sitting nearby reviewing business documents, slammed his laptop shut in annoyance.

“William, can't you be quiet for once?” Cain snapped, his tone sharp and biting. “I have important work to do, and you're being a nuisance.”
