Elena’s POV

Here is the prolonged scene:

I sat at my desk, staring blankly at my computer screen as I tried to focus on work. But my mind kept wandering back to Jack's death, the guilt still lingering in the shadows. I knew I had to move on, to focus on my life and my future.

Just then, an email popped up on my screen. It was from Daniel. My heart skipped a beat as I opened it and read the words:

"Elena, I'm ready. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Let's start making wedding plans."

I couldn't contain my excitement. I grabbed my phone and dialed Phila's number, barely able to wait for her to answer.

"Girl, you won't believe what just happened!" I squealed, trying to contain my excitement.

Phila's voice was calm, as usual. "Try me."

"Daniel wants to get married! He's ready to spend the rest of his life with me!"
