Elena’s POV

I walked into the office, my mind still reeling from the conversation with John. I couldn't believe what I had agreed to do. Tampering with Alex's sister's exam results? It was a low blow, even for me.

But I pushed the doubts aside and focused on the task at hand. I had to get back to work and make sure everything was running smoothly.

As I sat down at my desk, my phone buzzed with a text from John. "I've made some inquiries. Rachel's daughter is being kept at a secure location. Alex has been using her as leverage to keep Rachel in line."

My heart sank. Poor Rachel. I had no idea she was going through so much.

I typed out a response. "Thanks for the info. Keep digging. I want to know everything."

I put my phone down and tried to focus on work, but my mind kept wandering back to the plan. Was I going to go through with it? Was I going to ruin an innocent girl's life just to get back at Alex?

I shook my head, trying to clear my doubts. I had to stay focused. I had to see th
