Alexis POV

The Luna training started the next day after the council meeting. I was getting impatient and it was as if my life had taken on a new rhythm, one that I couldn’t escape from, no matter how hard I tried. Every morning, I was led to a large study room inside the Nightwolf pack’s main house, where a woman named Ingrid, an older wolf with a no-nonsense attitude, would spend hours drilling me on the history of the Nightwolf pack, its customs, and what was expected of a Luna. It was so boring and I wasn't one bit interested.

I hated every second of it.

Today was no different. Ingrid sat at the head of the table, her eyes scanning an old, leather-bound book that detailed the pack's ancient traditions, while I sat opposite her, struggling to focus on the words that spilled from her mouth and trying hard not to doze off.
