Chapter 6: That Scariest Person

Cade's POV

"Wow...your acting was superb, Brother.", Barrett said the moment Andy's younger sister, Rebecca I guess, left the room. "It looked like you could claim her any moment.", He laughed. "You should try Hollywood, you know.", He added with a big smile on his face.

.

While I wanted to say on his that 'I was not at all acting. Everything which I did was out of my control. It felt like she was controlling my every action with her doe eyes.

"But sometimes, I really couldn't understand when the werewolf king and queen are so powerful then why the hell their two kids are human?"

.

"And I give a damn about it. Don' forget why are we here? Since their parents are not here so these kids wouldn't be able to identify that we have lied to them about our identity. Our goal is straight and clear, reject the human girl and leave this palace with her acceptance."

"Noted, Brother.", Barrett nodded seriously. "By the way, our father had already chosen your new bride."

.

"Aaahhh...I seriously don't understand this old man. Why can't he understand one simple thing that it's my life and I want to chose my bride on my own? That generation is long gone when parents use to choose the perfect partner for their child.", I frowned.

"Don't you want to know who will be your bride now?", He asked to which I raised my brow. "She is the elder daughter of the Vampire's King, Lenora.", I didn't know why but this news didn't give me any happiness. Lenora was strong and powerful, just like the bride I always wished for but still, my mind was on my human bride who lives in a supernatural world but had no supernatural powers.

Andrella's POV

I woke up in the middle of the night and looked around to check the time. It was exactly 2 AM. Strange, today I didn't hear my name. For the last so many years, I had been used to hear that voice at this hour that I kind of developed of waking at 2 AM. I tried to sleep again but sleep was far away from my eyes. For the first time in my life, I was at Grandpa's palace without Grandpa between us. I held the robe around my body and walked out of my room to take a stroll in Grandpa's garden.

I rubbed my arms with my palm because of the cold wind. The human world didn't have such type of atmosphere because of the pollution and big buildings instead of the forest. I felt a wave of wind near my neck and I quickly turned around in fear only to face Alpha Cade standing in front of me.

"Alpha Cade", I gasped and kept my hand on my heart. "Moon Goddess, you scared me."

"Cade"

"Huh"

.

"Call me, Cade.", Alpha Cade said in monotone and looked at me with the same intensity like he was doing before. "What are you doing here?", He asked and touched my hair that was on my face because of the wind before caress my cheek.

.

"I...I..", I forgot the reason why was I here because of his action. I mentally slapped myself for acting like stupid in front of him and recalled the reason why was I here? "I was missing my Grandpa, that's why I came here."

"You really loved me a lot, didn't you?", He asked to which I nodded sadly.

.

"I was not near him when he left us. That's why I was wishing to see him one last time. I was wishing to talk with him one last time. I was wishing to spend some time with him. I was wishing to tell him that how much I loved him for the one last time...and many more wishes were left undone and unsaid now.", I whispered sadly. "His soul will be now in the spirit world now. And there was no way I can go there."

"I can take you there.", He said immediately and my eyes widened in shock.

.

"You are joking, right?", I asked to reconfirm. Out of all the world, the spirit world was the scariest place, full of evil and good spirits of each and every creature. Either they kill the people who reach here alive or possessed on their body for forever to complete the incomplete work which they left before dying.

"I am not.", He answered in a serious tone.

.

"But...But we can't make it once we reach there. There are many evil spirits, banshees, ghosts, and many more evil creatures who are dead now in that world. They will end up by killing us.", I added to let him know the reality of that world but I found him smiling at my words.

.

"Don't worry, Andy. Because the scariest person of that world is the one who is taking you there.", He teased and I laughed at his comment without knowing the fact that he was telling me the truth. "I will not let anyone harm you, Andy. I promise.", He added.

.

"Fine then. I want to go there to meet my Grandpa.", I replied. I didn't know whether it was wise to trust him or not but I wanted to take a chance to explore the new world and didn't want to lose one last chance to meet my grandpa. If the word DEATH was written in my life at this stage of life then I would gladly accept it. "By the way, what is the position of that scariest person in the spirit world who is taking me there?", I asked in a funny tone to which he chuckled.

"That scariest person is the future king of the spirit world, My bride", He replied making my eyes widened in shock, again. "Don't tell me you have a habit of taking jokes seriously?", He asked raising his brow to which I shook my head.

'Silly me. What the hell I started thinking just in a while. Neither he was any future king nor I was his bride.', I thought and my heart ached with the second thought.
