Thirty-first Chapter

Our chests rose and fell rhythmically as we heaved, gasping for air. Sex with Rain always left me breathless. He had all the energy his father didn't have, or used to have, stored up in his muscles. Plus he worked out so it was perfect. Anytime I imagined letting him go, I couldn't bear the thought of him in the arms of another, making her sweat and taking her ability to breath. The image of all the groceries I bought from the store, on the floor and kitchen counter, sat me up from beside Rain. I also had to visit Anna with the items I got for her.
