Fiftieth Chapter

Rain drove me home after everything was settled at the hospital. He made sure he left a picture of his mother at the security office so she could be easily spotted if she came around the premises. He tried to ring his father but I stopped him with a flimsy excuse. I needed to be the one to report the incident to David. Rain wasn't going to make it more dramatic than it actually was and I needed to do so to make David more angry at his wife.

When all was said and done, we drove to a restaurant for lunch. On my request, we did take out. I was too tired from all the drama I had gone through in just one day. All I needed was the comfort of my shaky bed. Minutes after placing our order, we were on our way to my apartment with a pox of pizza, two burgers, chips and two cups of smoothies. I couldn't wait and already began sipping my smoothie before we got home.
