Fifty-second Chapter

For the second time today, my eyes opened. This time on its own accord. With a big yawn, I rubbed my eyes as I slowly sat up. When I had rid my eyes of sleep, they scanned the hotel room for David, but I seemed to be by myself. My gaze switched to the search of my phone. It didn't take long before I found it lying on the small bedside table on the left.

Strangely, there was a small paper sticking out from under it. Titling my head a little to the side, my hand reached for the sharp end of the folded paper. I took it, along with my phone, off the table. My eyes scrutinized the paper for a short second before opening it.
