Too Much Pain

"MOMMY."

I swallowed and did not move immediately when the child hugs me on the waist. I was really shocked at what she did, as well as the others people around us. Some even stood up to see more scenes.

I wanted to protest but it seems my voice couldn't go out. My whole body stiffened and grew cold, while also the strength of the heartbeat in my chest.

"Mommy... Mommy,"

Why was she always insisting that I was her mother?

Confused, my eyes got widened at them. I wanted to ask but nothing really came out of my mouth. I sighed, then glanced at the child who still hugged me tightly.

"U-uhm, y-you're just mistaken, baby," I stuttered at the beginning. I forcefully moved my hand and held his little arm around my waist.

“No! I'm not mistaken. You really are my mommy.”
