Mommy

I WAS surprised when I opened my eyes. She was there, wearing a wide smile, showing off the cute dimples on her little cheeks.

Macey immediately ran towards me.

"Daddy," he hugged me tightly.

No doubt this child is my child because almost three-fourths of her features were like mine. Her dark fierce eyes, her dimples, her nose, and the shape of her beautiful face.

"Oh, my darling daughter," I hugged her too tightly and I sat her down on the table.

"I missed you, Daddy."

"I missed you, too, my baby." I kissed her forehead.

I laughed as the child's face wrinkled. I pinched her little nose. "Yes. You’re not a baby anymore,” I said while brushing her wavy and shiny long hair with my fingers.

This hair always reminded me of her, when she was still in high school.

"I am no longer young to be called a 'baby.' I will be going to seven soon, I am no longer a baby, Daddy,” she said while pouting.

“Yeah, I know. But you can’t blame me, princess. You’ll always be, Daddy’s baby.” I patted her
