Zach’s POV

I watched them work with a sense of urgency, knowing that our lives and the safety of everyone depended on their efficiency.

“Is there something on your mind alpha?” The general asked as I nodded.

“I feel like Mateo might be onto something.”

He looked around to see if anyone had heard me before inching closer to me.

“My sources say that the people in the villages could be a decoy but this could also be false that is why I didn’t trust the information.”

“And you’re telling me this now?” I was already mad at the man.

“If we blow this place up, we could risk having more problems on our hands. The pack here is a relatively small pack with around two hundred wolves. We don’t want to be known as the pack who killed innocents just because we were too lazy to go against the rogues like the wolves we were.”
