Zach’s POV

My words were filled with remorse, humility, and a genuine desire to make things right and I hoped the man would listen to me while I spoke.

Willow joined us as I went on to talk about how I would make it right and even told them about the rules I had made against the elders and the pack subjects.

This seemed to work as the old man’s eyebrows rose in surprise. I didn’t know why he was shocked. I was the alpha so this was not beyond me.

The family listened intently, their expressions softening slightly as they recognized the sincerity in my plea for forgiveness.

The wounds were still fresh, and trust had been shattered after that stupid stunt I had played, but they could sense the genuine remorse radiating from me.

After we had a little more time at the door, Willow whispered into the old man’s ears to let me in, which I overheard.

He shot me a dangerous look but nodded and stepped aside for me to get into their abode.

This was my second time coming into their home. The fir
