Chapter 95: No Choice

After getting up from the ground, I turned my body away from him and was about to step my legs when Gideon grabbed my hand.

He pulled me back to him and was about to embrace me when I lifted my hand. I slapped him across his face and he froze in his direction.

“How dare you kill James, Gideon? How f*cking dare you to touch him!” I raged, tears still streaming from my face.

Gideon gritted his teeth. He pointed a finger in my direction with his face covered by anger. I never showed him any hint of fear. Gideon has to know that I am also angry from what he did to James.

“Why the f*ck you're defending him now, Emerald? I thought you also wanted him dead?” Gideon asked, his face covered with confusion.

I grinned, my fists still clenched while looking at him.

“I was defending him because I still loved him. All this time I realized that I still needed him by my side. I didn't feel anything from you, Gideon, and I was right with my decision. I did the right thing that I didn'
