“Did I disturbed the two of you?”

Cassandra and I turned our attention to the woman who just arrived in the kitchen area. My eyes widened when I saw her walking inside.

“Maureen? I thought you're going straight to your room?” I asked her.

Maureen smiled at me and said, “Well, I just asked the worker to bring my things inside my room because I wanted to eat. I was hungry.”

She continued walking and even sat down beside me. I was suddenly stunned when she took the place in front of me and put it with her food.

“Who's that girl?” Cassandra whispered to me.

I let out a sigh, letting out a deep breath.

“She was Maureen, an Alpha's daughter. She's here because James will teach her to become an Alpha,” I responded to my best friend.

Cassandra's mouth widened while looking at Maureen. Her brows were even furrowed together, and I can feel the annoyance within her.

“I smelled something with her. There's something I can't explain from her,” Cassandra said, almost whispering to me.
