Chapter 172: Her Anger

As I woke up the next morning, I found out that James is not beside me. He didn't sleep here last night, and it makes my heart ache. I understand that he's hurt, and I will talk to him about this. I just don't like the idea that we are not on good terms.

I did my morning routine and I also made sure that my son looked fresh when we came out of the room. While I was on the way, Cassandra suggested that she will be the one to take good care of Jacob since she informed me that she has nothing to do today.

Cassandra already prepared Jacob's food in the kitchen, so we went there together.

“How was your date with Levi yesterday?” I asked, making her blush.

She tried to avoid my eyes, but I still saw the reaction from her.

“It's good and we have a great day. You know, Levi was really a gentleman. He's been so protective with me,” Cassandra uttered to me.

I smiled at her in response. I wasn't able to respond to her when we already reached the kitchen area.
