Chapter 174: The Leads

After the conversation between the pack doctor, James ordered Levi to accompany him outside. Only James and I were left inside the room now.

I already took my bath to clean the blood from my body while James was already in bed. It was still so early, yet he wanted us to stay inside.

“We have so many things to talk about, Emerald,” James muttered. He changed his position, and now he was leaning against the headrest of the bed.

I could feel my knees were trembling just because of how James looked at me now.

“W-What is it, James?” I stammered.

He motioned me to come on the bed. I immediately followed him without any complaints.

“Nothing. I just wanted to feel you in my arms.”

I was stunned in my direction as James suddenly embraced me. His tight hug really made me feel so comfortable. It seems like all my worries disappeared when I felt his hot body against mine. James was the only person who could give me this kind of feeling. I just couldn't imagine myself being on other arms
