AURELIA'S POV
I twisted and turned on the woody bed as I opened my eyes.
My entire body hurts and I knew I was in an unfamiliar place considering the smell in the air and the atmosphere.
It was very dark in here and it was as if the whole place had been deprived of light for a long ass time.
In the next second, I sat up on the woody bed and looked around.
I could see everything clearly and I gasped in great shock at what I saw.
"How did I get here?" I asked myself as my eyes roamed around, observing everyone that laid in the room.
I woke up in the middle of people dressed in rags, sleeping on wooden beds.
"They are slaves!" These words resounded in my head as I held onto it.
"How did I get here?" I asked myself.
I tried to comprehend who would hate me so much to turn me into a slave.
My thoughts trailed back to what had happened at the plaza.
I was able to say a word, just so the Alpha could come save me but then he looked back at me, with a calm look in his eyes.
It felt like if I was going to die at that point, he would gladly bury me.
"But he is my mate." I cried in my mind, in frustration and pain.
I thought he would save me and protect me in his arms but then I was left alone like a stray dog until I fell unconscious.
My father abandoned me and my mate did as well. He did not bother to help me.
Am I so unlucky?
A tear dropped from my eye as I thought about how unloved I was.
No one cared to help me even when being a stealer wasn't my choice.
"Hmmm…" I let out, crying to the heavens.
"Why would the Moon Goddess treat me this way?" I said to myself, wishing I could say those words.
But then I wished the Goddess listened to my inner desires.
I anticipated having a mate and then I turned out to be the dreaded stealer. At this point, only my mate could end my misery and he was nowhere to be found.
In the next second, I felt a cold hairy thing run past my hands and I jumped, in fright.
"Hmmm…" I made a low sound as my eyes widened at what it was. It was a rat and it looked really dirty.
"I can't stay here." I decided, in my mind as my hands clutched my torn dress.
At least, I was still covered.
I knew everyone here would be used as a sexual outlet and I couldn't stay and get used.
Even if my mate did not want me, I cherished my body greatly.
Moving my feet to the cold ground, I stood up, ensuring my bed partner did not detect my movement.
I started to take little steps toward the door but then I halted.
"Where the fuck is the door!" I screamed in my mind as my head whipped to look around.
Every end of the room looked like a wall to me and I was starting to consider feeling the whole place up.
There has to be a door somewhere and immediately I moved toward the left side of the room.
I started to feel the wall as quietly as I could.
My feet padded quietly against the ground and I was starting to think I had really good stealth skills.
In the next second, my hand found a door knob and my body shook in delight.
"Heavens…" I said in my mind, seeing that the door was painted with the same color as the wall. It was also built in a way that it fit into the wall.
I wasn't about to analyze how it was done and immediately I grabbed the door knob and turned it open.
The door opened up and I did not stop to think why the door to the slaves' quarters would be open.
Without thinking twice, I ran past the door and I thought I was free.
I breathe in the fresh air but in the next second, my head hits a hard chest.
"Ooo.." I groaned in pain and then I realized what just happened.
"Where do you think you are going?" A guard thundered and I froze in fear.
His eyes bore into me and more guards surrounded me.
I realized they were the guards with the gas masks as they were still dressed in the uniform I saw them in.
"Nnnn…" I let out in a squeaky tone as I shook my head frantically.
I did not think I would be caught and now, I started to take steps back toward the room.
I couldn't imagine the brutal things they would do to me, now that they have caught me.
I did not want to be a sexual outlet but then it seemed like I wouldn't have a choice anymore.
"Grab her!" The guard ordered and immediately I turned around and started to run.
It was a long hallway before me and I did not know where I was headed but my sixth sense told me to run.
However, in the next second, I felt a thick hand grab my left shoulder, and I halted.
The grip on my shoulder was so strong that my face scrunched in pain.
My eyes were tightly shut as I clawed at the hand on my shoulder. In the next second, I was suddenly carried and thrown over one of the guard's shoulder.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked inwardly as my hands slammed continuously on his back.
My feet kicked continuously in the air as I tried to get down but the guard's hold was just too strong.
"Take her to the Alpha." The guard from earlier ordered and I gasped, silently.
"The Alpha?" I said in my mind.
"My mate? Alpha Dante?" I said to myself, like I was talking to the guards.
"Is he here?" I said inwardly, as head turned frantically but I couldn't spot him or smell him anywhere.
But then I thought of why he would be in such a place.
It was a place for the slaves.
As the door to a room opened up, a thought clicked in my mind.
The scent of my mate wafted into my nose and I thought he was here to save me.
"Yes! He saved me! He did not abandon me!" I screamed, inwardly, in delight.
I twisted my body in an effort to see my mate. I just needed to see him and in the next second, I was dropped to the ground with a loud thud.
My mouth opened up, like a fish in water due to the pain that coursed through my body.
"Haha…" I heard a low chuckle and immediately my head snapped in the direction.
I came face to face with my mate and my heart thudded in my chest.
He was just too handsome and I realized he had a bottle of liquor in hand.
I could deduce it was an expensive one as my father had a bottle of the same liquor tucked away safely.
Looking up from the bottle, my eyes met his and I shivered.
My mate looked at me with icy eyes and I couldn't look up at him anymore.
His aura gave me the chills and I felt like I had stepped into more dangerous grounds.
Maybe staying with my father wasn't a bad idea after all.
"You could come close to me." I heard him say, suddenly, and my head snapped to look at him.
"What?" I said in my mind as my eyes widened in question.
"You're the only one who is not affected by my Alpha aura and you're my mate." He declared as his eyes bore into me.
I felt a tingling sensation in my body and heart as I finally realized how special I was to him.
He wouldn't discard me, or so I thought.
On second thought, I realized he was the only one who could end my stealer pheromone.
If he finally claims me as his mate, no male werewolf would come close to me.
My father, stepmother and step brother would have nothing on me.
The delight in my heart did not wane one bit as I concluded that we were destined for each other. A small smile was starting to creep onto my face.
In the next second, I heard my mate say, "I do not want a weak werewolf as my mate."
My smile fell and my heart shook.
"What?" I asked in my mind as my eyes searched for answers, frantically.
I thought we had use to each other. At least that would keep us together for some time until he falls in love with me later on.
"You're pathetic and dumb." He added and I finally realized I was living in a delusion to think he would have any use for me.
Of course, he was the great Alpha Dante.
My hands clenched as I tried to stop the tears that were threatening to fall.
I did not want to look weak even if it was at the expense of locking up my emotions.
"Why?" I asked even though I knew he couldn't hear me.
I just wanted to know why he detested me so much apart from me being weak.
It was a simple thing to train me into whoever he wants me to be.
It was as if my mate heard my question and he stood up to his feet.
"If you become my mate, you will be a potential threat to me." He said.
"You're weak and easy to take advantage of." He added as he took steps toward me.
I was on my knees at this point and in two seconds he was before me.
"Your existence is troublesome." He said and in the next second, he grabbed onto my neck.
I was raised from the ground, with his fingers wrapped tightly around my neck and I couldn't breathe.
Dante's POVI watched how her eyes dimmed and then turned watery. What was this?"You guys can take her now," I said coldly as I leaned back on the chair. She quickly held my leg like she never wanted to let go of me.Of course, I shoved her hands away before she could do anything."Take her away," I said to the men who just entered the room. They nodded, picked and then turned to leave."Put her in a place different from where those slaves are," I said calmly, still sipping my drink. They nodded and then left, while she kept on banging their chest to let her go. I tried with all my might not to look at those teary eyes."Oh? You have gotten another one?" I heard Danciana's voice coming from the door and I didn't bother looking at her."Yes," I replied, coldly."I see. But mmm… well," She started sluggishly and I knew she was here for something."What do you want?" I asked."Oh? Nothing, nothing, much. I wanted to know if it was good of me to do some experiments? I have done a few res
Dante's POV"That came out wrong, Alpha. I hope all is well?" Lucas asked calmly after getting out from the shock."Everything is fine. But when it comes to what decisions I make, that is not what you should be worried about, Lucas. At least, there are tons of duties in the pack that need your attention. Remember that the people are watching us," I said, slowly to him as I closed the file I was going through.I saw how dim his eyes were when I mentioned the 'people'. He kept quiet for a while then said to me."I'll go check on the pack and warriors. You don't have to stress yourself too much. But, consider the people when making decisions. I'll take my leave now," He bowed slightly then turned to leave. I leaned back against my chair as I studied him. Just as his right hand held the knob the door opened by itself… perhaps by someone. And my attention was drawn to the person who stood there."Oh Lucas? I'm sorry," Danciana made way for him to pass but Lucas just snorted at her as he
Aurelia's POV'When will I get out of here?' I shook my head slightly as the temperature here was unbearably cold. I held my knees tightly to my chin level as I got lost in thoughts. If I can truly pass all the trails set by him and prove to him and his people that I can be their Luna. That would be so lovely.I held my chin happily as I felt them burning up.'Don't tell me I am blushing? Just the thought of me standing by him addressing his people as his Luna alone makes me excited!' I screamed inwardly as my back came into contact with the soft bed.I sighed heavily, staring at the white ceiling. It was quiet all around. Not even the familiar sounds of crickets were heard. With my clear vision I was able to see things around. I turned to face the wall as I kept on thinking about all the things that I will have to go through to make it up to him."Kekeke," I laughed mischievously but it came out foolishly to my ears.I rolled my eyes and was about to keep up with the fantastical thou
Aurelia's POVI stared at her dumbfounded by the revelation. What does she mean by that?"I don't really understand. What's going on?" I said to myself as I stared around. I noticed the various instruments around, even those I wasn't able to recognize. She left where I was and headed to a machine that looked like a scan."I found some virus in your system when you were unconscious and i think they have a hand to do with all of this," She replied as if she knew what was going through my mind.Virus? What virus was she talking about?"Is it contagious?" Fear was written all over my face as my lips parted hard to say those words bit by bit.A chuckle rang out then she turned to me."If it was really that contagious the lord would have been the first to contact it. Tell me…," She paused as she said this and my head tilted sideways in confusion. What does she want to ask from me? I thought inwardly as I kept on staring at her."What is it?" I asked. I felt a gush of cold wind brush against
Aurelia's POV"Why aren't you asking about your people? Aren't you curious to know if they come looking for you? Or if they missed you? Since you came here you have never shown any reluctance to leave. I wonder why it's so?" He threw hundreds of questions at me and I don't even know which one of them I should answer first. He shot me a look and a frown replaced his cold expression. He stared at the door and then at me."Aren't you coming in?" He asked, coldly. Subconsciously I flinched back and held the door.A smirk crossed his lips but that was all he didn't do anything. Why was I shivering? Am I that scared of him or what about what he said?My people came looking for me but why? Am I not the insignificant princess again? What more do they want from me?I let go of the door, took a deep breath and then strode inside the room with silent steps. I looked around and noticed the well furniture room. There was a shelf at the end of the room and the curtain was loose preventing the light
Alpha Dante's POV"What is to report all about?" I asked her immediately, I saw the fragile girl leaving.Danciana stared at me with an expressionless gaze."It's about one of the warriors in the pack. I noticed that he has been injured internally and it's affecting his inner beast," She kept the file on the desk and pushed it towards me while still maintaining eye contact.I ignored the look she gave me as I don't have the luxury to explain myself to people."How did this happen?" I asked her and she shook her head then said."Either one of the enemies during the last confrontation used a forbidden tool on him and that's why he has been like this for weeks now. I am afraid if we don't find out what tool was used on him. He is going to die," She stated calmly. My fist curled into a fist as I read the report. I took a deep breath and then fell into deep thoughts." What about Lucas?" I asked."Where is he and what is he doing concerning this matter?" I asked and she smiled."I've not
Alpha Dante's POV I stared at Aurelia, my voice tinged with a mix of amusement and superiority as I delivered the words I knew would sting. "Your mother doesn't want to see you again," I told her, a smirk playing on my lips. Aurelia's eyes met mine, a flicker of hurt and confusion passing through them before she shifted her attention to the book she held in her hands. She began writing in it, her pen swiftly gliding across the pages, as if seeking solace in the act of putting her thoughts into words. Her silence grated on my nerves, and I couldn't resist taunting her further. "So, you still want to go home, huh? Even if your mother doesn't want you?" I let out a loud, mocking laugh, relishing in the power I held over her emotions. It was satisfying to see her discomfort, to witness the cracks forming in her resolve. Curiosity got the better of me, and I leaned in closer, narrowing my eyes at her. "What do you think you'll find at home, Aurelia? A warm embrace? Love? Acceptance?" My
Alpha Dante's POVI focused my attention back on the document spread out before me, the weight of responsibility pressing upon my shoulders. The room fell silent after Aurelia's departure, but I could feel Danciana's gaze fixed upon me. Curiosity got the better of me, and I looked up, meeting her intense gaze. There was a hint of concern in her eyes, as if she had sensed something amiss."Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked, trying to maintain a composed demeanor.Danciana hesitated for a moment before gathering her thoughts and responded, "I'm sorry, Alpha Dante. It's just that you seemed distant, lost in your thoughts. I wanted to make sure everything was alright."I sighed inwardly, appreciating her genuine concern. "I appreciate your concern, Danciana," I replied, offering her a small smile. "But rest assured, I'm fine. We have important matters at hand, and it's crucial that we focus on our duties."Danciana nodded, her eyes still fixed on me. "Of course, Alpha Dante. I
Aurelia's Point Of ViewI took a deep breath, my heart heavy with the burden of forgiveness and reconciliation. "Dante," I began, "I know that Vivian was involved in what happened to me, and I can't deny the pain and betrayal I felt. But I also know that she was manipulated by Genevieve, just as I was."Dante regarded me with a mixture of pride and concern. "Aurelia, forgiveness is a noble path, but it's not always easy. Are you sure this is what you want?"I nodded firmly, my resolve unwavering. "Yes, Dante. I believe that forgiveness can heal wounds and strengthen bonds. Vivian was once a dear friend, and I want to offer her a chance to make amends. Maybe, in doing so, we can rebuild the trust we once shared."Dante's expression softened, and he gently squeezed my shoulder. "You have a compassionate heart, my love. If that is your wish, then we shall go to Vivian and extend our forgiveness."Tears of gratitude welled up in my eyes as I embraced my mate. It was a step toward healing
Danciana's Point Of View I found myself standing at the edge of the dense forest, hidden in the cloak of shadows, my heart racing like a wild stallion. The tantalizing whispers of intrigue had reached my ears, carried by the winds of gossip that blew through our pack like a tempest. Alpha Augustine, the unyielding leader of the neighboring pack, had issued an ominous decree—the arrest of Genevieve, Aurelia's stepmother. I couldn't simply ignore the electric curiosity that surged through me. I had to know every detail of what was transpiring. With each cautious step, I ventured further into the foreign territory that belonged to our neighboring pack. The scent of unknown wolves hung heavy in the air, a strange and potent mixture with the familiar earthy aroma of the woods. It wasn't long before the clearing came into view, a bustling hub of activity teeming with pack members. My keen eyes roved through the crowd, searching for the familiar faces of my own pack mates. I approached Ezra
Bryan's Point of viewI couldn't believe my eyes. Was that Aurelia? I thought she was dead. So, Genevieve only lied to me. This was unfair. How could I have believed her? I neglected my own daughter so much, and now I feel like the worst father in the world. I felt like I let my own daughter down. I felt like I had ignored her when she needed me the most.My heart pounded in my chest as I walked up to my daughter, each step heavy with the weight of regret and longing."Aurelia," I called out, my voice choked with emotion. She turned towards me, her eyes widening in disbelief, and then she rushed into my arms, embracing me with a warmth that washed away the years of guilt and sorrow. "Father. I missed you so much," she whispered, tears streaming down her cheeks."I'm so sorry, Aurelia," I whispered back, my own tears mixing with hers. "I'm so sorry for neglecting you. I should have watched over you and taken care of you. It's all my fault. I thought I lost you.""You didn't lose me, Da
Genevieve's Point Of ViewI knew I was my own downfall, and no matter what I did, Alpha Augustine would still punish me. All I could do now was to plead with my stepdaughter Aurelia for kidnapping her and trying to kill her. I could be locked up for more than twenty years in a dungeon for my crimes. And I was scared to death that my mate Bryan may find out about Casey being my daughter, which no one knows for the past twenty-three years of her life.As I scanned the crowd, my heart sank as I saw Bryan join the gathering, his eyes filled with concern and curiosity. Panic surged within me, knowing that his presence might unearth the dark secret I had harbored for so long. The thought of losing him, the only source of solace in my turbulent life, was unbearable.Summoning every ounce of courage I had left, I rushed towards Aurelia, my knees hitting the ground hard as I knelt before her, tears streaming down my face. "Aurelia, please," I begged, my voice trembling with desperation. "I'm s
Aurelia's Point Of View:I sat down in my small, dimly lit room, engrossed in the pages of a thrilling novel. The world within the book offered a brief escape from the harsh reality I had been living through. Angela, my loyal and compassionate friend, walked in, her footsteps barely making a sound on the creaky wooden floor. She cleared her throat gently, breaking the silence that enveloped me."Hey, Aurelia," Angela said softly, concern etched into her features. "How are you holding up?"I closed the book and looked up at her, offering a faint but grateful smile. "I'm doing as well as I can, Angela. Thanks to you, I'm safe now."Angela's eyes softened, and she shook her head. "You don't have to thank me, Aurelia. I couldn't let them take you."I nodded, my heart swelling with gratitude for my friend's unwavering support. "I know, but I still appreciate everything you've done for me."Curiosity danced in Angela's eyes as she pulled up a chair and sat down beside me. "So, what's your n
Genevieve's Point Of ViewI was in my car, parked inconspicuously at our usual meeting spot, waiting for Casey. The cold air inside the car did little to alleviate the growing unease in my chest. Each passing second felt like an eternity, and my impatience was getting the best of me.Finally, the car door swung open, and Casey slipped into the passenger seat. Her face was a mosaic of emotions - anxiety, relief, and something else I couldn't quite place. I couldn't hide my irritation as I turned to her, my fingers tapping impatiently on the steering wheel."What took you so long, Casey?" I snapped, my tone sharp and accusatory.Casey's eyes darted around nervously, her lips trembling. "I'm sorry, Genevieve," she stammered, her voice quivering. "I... I couldn't find Vivian at our usual meeting spot."My heart skipped a beat, and a shiver of fear raced down my spine. Panic began to well up within me as I asked, "Are you absolutely sure? Did she say anything about us?"Casey's voice remai
Alpha Dante's Point Of ViewThe moon hung low in the velvety night sky, casting a soft, silvery glow over the secluded forest clearing where Aurelia and I stood. Her presence, so close yet seemingly distant, was like a fragile flame struggling against the encroaching darkness. Her eyes, once bright and full of life, now held a shadow of fear that sent shivers down my spine."Aurelia," I implored, my voice laced with a mixture of desperation and longing. I took a step closer to her, my senses attuned to every nuance of her body language. "You can't keep running from this, from us. You can't hide forever. Come home with me, please."She hesitated, the night breeze ruffling her dark hair as she turned her gaze away from me, as if searching for answers among the stars. "Alpha Dante," she finally spoke, her voice a fragile whisper in the night. "You don't understand. There are people after my life. They won't rest until I'm dead."My heart clenched at the raw fear in her words, the thought
Alpha Dante's Point Of ViewI told Angela that I wanted to see my missing mate Aurelia, since she knows where she is. She told me that Aurelia is in her Pack. I told her to get into the car, and we drove through the dense, moonlit forest. The anticipation was building within me with each passing mile.Angela kept glancing at me, concern etched across her face. "Dante, I didn't expect things to play out like this," she began, her voice quivering with uncertainty. "This is so sudden for Aurelia, and she doesn't know that I've revealed the truth about her rescue and her safety."I tightened my grip on the steering wheel, my knuckles turning white. "What do you mean, Angela? Why wouldn't Aurelia know? Is she in danger?"Angela sighed, her eyes fixed on the winding road ahead. "No, it's not that, Dante. It's just that she's been through so much. She was terrified, wondering what you would think of her after everything she endured."I glanced at Angela, the weight of my actions weighing hea
Angela's Point Of ViewI decided to meet with Alpha Dante and tell him what's really going on. It wasn't just about clearing Aurelia's name; it was about revealing the truth that she never poisoned him and never ran away. I knew it was going to be a tough sell, especially with all the evidence stacked against her. But I couldn't stand by and watch her suffer for a crime she didn't commit.I picked up my phone and dialed Danciana's number. She was not only a close friend but also the pack's trusted doctor. We had worked together countless times, and I knew I could rely on her. When she answered the call, her voice was laced with concern. "Angela, is everything all right? You're not feeling unwell, are you?"I hesitated for a moment, grappling with the weight of the situation. Finally, I replied, "No, Danciana, I'm physically fine. But there's something urgent I need to take care of today. It's a matter of great importance."There was a pause on the other end of the line as Danciana pro
