Dante's POV

I watched how her eyes dimmed and then turned watery. What was this?

"You guys can take her now," I said coldly as I leaned back on the chair. She quickly held my leg like she never wanted to let go of me.

Of course, I shoved her hands away before she could do anything.

"Take her away," I said to the men who just entered the room. They nodded, picked and then turned to leave.

"Put her in a place different from where those slaves are," I said calmly, still sipping my drink.

They nodded and then left, while she kept on banging their chest to let her go. I tried with all my might not to look at those teary eyes.

"Oh? You have gotten another one?" I heard Danciana's voice coming from the door and I didn't bother looking at her.

"Yes," I replied, coldly.

"I see. But mmm… well," She started sluggishly and I knew she was here for something.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Oh? Nothing, nothing, much. I wanted to know if it was good of me to do some experiments? I have done a few researches and I am in need of just the last thing to complete it," She said, smiling.

Danciana was my Pack's doctor and she was responsible for all the treatments and healings. I stared at her for a moment, thinking of the right person for her to check this one.

There was no one in the pack that's Ill. Unless, I turned to her then stared at the door.

"I'll inform you when I've seen anyone," I stated, calmly. She nodded as a bright smile crossed her face.

"I was expecting that. Thank you so much Alpha Dante," She smiled, bowing from where she stood at the door then left. I stared at the closed door with a dull gaze, turned to the glass of wine before me as I sip it slowly.

No one can ever get close to me, because of my Alpha's aura. But the lady can without any restriction. I wonder why such is happening?

I didn't think much about it. After drinking the wine, I got up and left the room quietly.

Soon I was in the cold and quiet corridor as I made my way to my chamber. Before that, I stopped and stared at the dead end of the corridor, a thought crossed my mind and I walked towards it without hesitation.

And that was when I saw the masked men standing guard at a particular room.

I walked up to them, quietly, then said:"You may leave,"

They nodded quickly and hurriedly left the place but they didn't dare pass by me but could only follow the other side.

I was indifferent when I saw this. I turned to the door, knocked on it slightly and then kept quiet.

I could feel that mate pull again and her rich scent that smells like roses. I leaned into the door as I couldn't get enough of her even though I knew it would be very impossible for me to have a weak mate.

Mostly when she's a mute.

"Mm?" I heard her calls out excitedly, she must have felt the mate pull again. I slowly opened the door and there she was on the floor. I stared at her for a moment and that was when I noticed the tears in her eyes.

I was moved to touch her but… there was this part of me that stopped that thought.

"How will it feel when you are given the entitlement to be my Luna?" I asked her calmly and she stared at me with some expression I couldn't understand.

But deep down I knew she was saying that it would be good.

"What if you were rejected by my people because you are mute?" I asked her calmly, and I watched her eyes dim.

I stared at her coldly, and watched how sad she looked. Maybe I should tell her about it?

"What if you were given a chance to prove it to me? That you are worthy to be my Luna?" I asked her and she turned to me, her eyes widened like a saucer.

She grabbed my hands like she was trying to say something. I could feel the wave of emotions in her eyes and how frantically she nodded.

I held her hand softly then removed it off me.

"Do not get excited so easily. You have less than a month to prove to me that you can rule my people with me," I said to her and she looked down at her dress.

I straightened my posture as my gaze never left her.

"I'll take this as you willing for this," I stated calmly and then walked to the door.

I didn't bother turning back to see her pitiful face. I turned the knob and walked out of the room.

"You can return," I said to no one in particular but I knew they were there.

Almost immediately, the sounds of footsteps approaching could be heard and I saw the masked men. They walked up to me vigilantly, like they were scared of something.

"Watch over her and make sure nothing happens," I ordered then left the place.

" Understood, sir," They replied.

Soon I was in my study room going through some files and that was when my beta walked in looking troubled.

"What Is it?" I asked, calmly.

"I heard that you took the girl in," He said, somewhat angry.

I stopped with what I was doing, then faced him and saw how cold his expression was.

"Then, can you explain to me who told you this?" I asked calmly.

" That's not the reason why I came here. I really want to know why you took in a mute and a stealer," He waved his hand angrily.

" That is not your position to ask, Lucas," I stated with finality and he stood there shocked.

But when it comes to what decisions I make, that is not what you should be worried about, Lucas. At least, there are tons of duties in the pack that need your attention. Remember that the people are watching us," I said, slowly to him as I closed the file I was going through.I saw how dim his eyes were when I mentioned the 'people'. He kept quiet for a while then said to me."I'll go check on the pack and warriors. You don't have to stress yourself too much. But, consider the people when making decisions. I'll take my leave now," He bowed slightly then turned to leave. I leaned back against my chair as I studied him. Just as his right hand held the knob the door opened by itself… perhaps by someone. And my attention was drawn to the person who stood there."Oh Lucas? I'm sorry," Danciana made way for him to pass but Lucas just snorted at her as he

I held my knees tightly to my chin level as I got lost in thoughts. If I can truly pass all the trails set by him and prove to him and his people that I can be their Luna. That would be so lovely.I held my chin happily as I felt them burning up.'Don't tell me I am blushing? Just the thought of me standing by him addressing his people as his Luna alone makes me excited!' Not even the familiar sounds of crickets were heard. With my clear vision I was able to see things around. Aurelia's POVI stared at her dumbfounded by the revelation. What does she mean by that?"I don't really understand. What's going on?" I said to myself as I stared around. I noticed the various instruments around, even those I wasn't able to recognize. She left where I was and headed to a machine that looked like a scan."I found some virus in your system when you were unconscious and i think they have a hand to do with all of this," She replied as if she knew what was going through my mind.Virus? What virus was she talking about?"Is it contagious?" Fear was written all over my face as my lips parted hard to say those words bit by bit.A chuckle rang out then she turned to me."If it was really that contagious the lord would have been the first to contact it. Alpha Dante's POV"What is to report all about?" I asked her immediately, I saw the fragile girl leaving.Danciana stared at me with an expressionless gaze."It's about one of the warriors in the pack. I noticed that he has been injured internally and it's affecting his inner beast," She kept the file on the desk and pushed it towards me while still maintaining eye contact.I ignored the look she gave me as I don't have the luxury to explain myself to people."How did this happen?" I asked her and she shook her head then said."Either one of the enemies during the last confrontation used a forbidden tool on him and that's why he has been like this for weeks now. I am afraid if we don't find out what tool was used on him. He is going to die," She stated calmly. My fist curled into a fist as I read the report. • Mute Luna    Chapter 10

Alpha Dante's POV I stared at Aurelia, my voice tinged with a mix of amusement and superiority as I delivered the words I knew would sting. "Your mother doesn't want to see you again," I told her, a smirk playing on my lips. Aurelia's eyes met mine, a flicker of hurt and confusion passing through them before she shifted her attention to the book she held in her hands. She began writing in it, her pen swiftly gliding across the pages, as if seeking solace in the act of putting her thoughts into words. Her silence grated on my nerves, and I couldn't resist taunting her further. "So, you still want to go home, huh? Even if your mother doesn't want you?" I let out a loud, mocking laugh, relishing in the power I held over her emotions. It was satisfying to see her discomfort, to witness the cracks forming in her resolve. Curiosity got the better of me, and I leaned in closer, narrowing my eyes at her. "What do you think you'll find at home, Aurelia? A warm embrace? Love? Acceptance?" My

Alpha Dante's POVI focused my attention back on the document spread out before me, the weight of responsibility pressing upon my shoulders. The room fell silent after Aurelia's departure, but I could feel Danciana's gaze fixed upon me. Curiosity got the better of me, and I looked up, meeting her intense gaze. There was a hint of concern in her eyes, as if she had sensed something amiss."Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked, trying to maintain a composed demeanor.Danciana hesitated for a moment before gathering her thoughts and responded, "I'm sorry, Alpha Dante. It's just that you seemed distant, lost in your thoughts. I wanted to make sure everything was alright."I sighed inwardly, appreciating her genuine concern. "I appreciate your concern, Danciana," I replied, offering her a small smile. "But rest assured, I'm fine. We have important matters at hand, and it's crucial that we focus on our duties."Danciana nodded, her eyes still fixed on me. "Of course, Alpha Dante. I

Aurelia's POVI quickly jumped up to my feet the moment I heard the room door open. My heart raced in my chest as I stood trembling, hoping it wasn't Alpha Dante coming to punish me for trying to escape earlier. But to my relief, it was Danciana, the pack's doctor, who entered the room. She approached me with a kind smile, asking how I was doing and how my night was. I desperately wished I could answer her verbally, but my voice had been taken from me.Danciana handed me a book and a pen, signaling for me to scramble my response upon its pages. I took the pen with shaky hands and wrote down that I wasn't fine. She glanced at my words and nodded, understanding the weight of my suffering. "It's normal for you to not be fine, Aurelia," she said softly, her eyes filled with empathy. "You have a mate who doesn't care about you, who only wants to hurt you." The truth of her words struck me deep, and I trembled at the realization of my predicament.Danciana closed the door, creating a sense

Aurelia's Point Of ViewI took a deep breath, my heart heavy with the burden of forgiveness and reconciliation. "Dante," I began, "I know that Vivian was involved in what happened to me, and I can't deny the pain and betrayal I felt. But I also know that she was manipulated by Genevieve, just as I was."Dante regarded me with a mixture of pride and concern. "Aurelia, forgiveness is a noble path, but it's not always easy. Are you sure this is what you want?"I nodded firmly, my resolve unwavering. "Yes, Dante. I believe that forgiveness can heal wounds and strengthen bonds. Vivian was once a dear friend, and I want to offer her a chance to make amends. Maybe, in doing so, we can rebuild the trust we once shared."Dante's expression softened, and he gently squeezed my shoulder. "You have a compassionate heart, my love. If that is your wish, then we shall go to Vivian and extend our forgiveness."Tears of gratitude welled up in my eyes as I embraced my mate. It was a step toward healing

Danciana's Point Of View I found myself standing at the edge of the dense forest, hidden in the cloak of shadows, my heart racing like a wild stallion. Bryan's Point of viewI couldn't believe my eyes. Was that Aurelia? I thought she was dead. So, Genevieve only lied to me. This was unfair. How could I have believed her? I felt like I had ignored her when she needed me the most.My heart pounded in my chest as I walked up to my daughter, each step heavy with the weight of regret and longing."Aurelia," I called out, my voice choked with emotion. She turned towards me, her eyes widening in disbelief, and then she rushed into my arms, embracing me with a warmth that washed away the years of guilt and sorrow. Genevieve's Point Of ViewI knew I was my own downfall, and no matter what I did, Alpha Augustine would still punish me. All I could do now was to plead with my stepdaughter Aurelia for kidnapping her and trying to kill her. I could be locked up for more than twenty years in a dungeon for my crimes. And I was scared to death that my mate Bryan may find out about Casey being my daughter, which no one knows for the past twenty-three years of her life.As I scanned the crowd, my heart sank as I saw Bryan join the gathering, his eyes filled with concern and curiosity. Aurelia's Point Of View:I sat down in my small, dimly lit room, engrossed in the pages of a thrilling novel. The world within the book offered a brief escape from the harsh reality I had been living through. Angela, my loyal and compassionate friend, walked in, her footsteps barely making a sound on the creaky wooden floor. She cleared her throat gently, breaking the silence that enveloped me."Hey, Aurelia," Angela said softly, concern etched into her features. "How are you holding up?"I closed the book and looked up at her, offering a faint but grateful smile. "I'm doing as well as I can, Angela. Thanks to you, I'm safe now."Angela's eyes softened, and she shook her head. "You don't have to thank me, Aurelia. I couldn't let them take you."I nodded, my heart swelling with gratitude for my friend's unwavering support. "I know, but I still appreciate everything you've done for me."Curiosity danced in Angela's eyes as she pulled up a chair and sat down beside me. "So, what's your n

Genevieve's Point Of ViewI was in my car, parked inconspicuously at our usual meeting spot, waiting for Casey. The cold air inside the car did little to alleviate the growing unease in my chest. Each passing second felt like an eternity, and my impatience was getting the best of me.Finally, the car door swung open, and Casey slipped into the passenger seat. Her face was a mosaic of emotions - anxiety, relief, and something else I couldn't quite place. I couldn't hide my irritation as I turned to her, my fingers tapping impatiently on the steering wheel."What took you so long, Casey?" I snapped, my tone sharp and accusatory.Casey's eyes darted around nervously, her lips trembling. "I'm sorry, Genevieve," she stammered, her voice quivering. "I... • Mute Luna    Chapter 123

Alpha Dante's Point Of ViewThe moon hung low in the velvety night sky, casting a soft, silvery glow over the secluded forest clearing where Aurelia and I stood. Her presence, so close yet seemingly distant, was like a fragile flame struggling against the encroaching darkness. Her eyes, once bright and full of life, now held a shadow of fear that sent shivers down my spine."Aurelia," I implored, my voice laced with a mixture of desperation and longing. I took a step closer to her, my senses attuned to every nuance of her body language. "You can't keep running from this, from us. You can't hide forever. Come home with me, please."She hesitated, the night breeze ruffling her dark hair as she turned her gaze away from me, as if searching for answers among the stars. "Alpha Dante," she finally spoke, her voice a fragile whisper in the night. "You don't understand. There are people after my life. They won't rest until I'm dead."My heart clenched at the raw fear in her words, the thought

Alpha Dante's Point Of ViewI told Angela that I wanted to see my missing mate Aurelia, since she knows where she is. She told me that Aurelia is in her Pack. I told her to get into the car, and we drove through the dense, moonlit forest. The anticipation was building within me with each passing mile.Angela kept glancing at me, concern etched across her face. "Dante, I didn't expect things to play out like this," she began, her voice quivering with uncertainty. "This is so sudden for Aurelia, and she doesn't know that I've revealed the truth about her rescue and her safety."I tightened my grip on the steering wheel, my knuckles turning white. "What do you mean, Angela? Why wouldn't Aurelia know? Is she in danger?"Angela sighed, her eyes fixed on the winding road ahead. "No, it's not that, Dante. It's just that she's been through so much. She was terrified, wondering what you would think of her after everything she endured."I glanced at Angela, the weight of my actions weighing hea

Angela's Point Of ViewI decided to meet with Alpha Dante and tell him what's really going on. It wasn't just about clearing Aurelia's name; it was about revealing the truth that she never poisoned him and never ran away. I knew it was going to be a tough sell, especially with all the evidence stacked against her. But I couldn't stand by and watch her suffer for a crime she didn't commit.I picked up my phone and dialed Danciana's number. She was not only a close friend but also the pack's trusted doctor. We had worked together countless times, and I knew I could rely on her. When she answered the call, her voice was laced with concern. "Angela, is everything all right? You're not feeling unwell, are you?"I hesitated for a moment, grappling with the weight of the situation. Finally, I replied, "No, Danciana, I'm physically fine. But there's something urgent I need to take care of today. It's a matter of great importance."There was a pause on the other end of the line as Danciana pro
