Maximus POV

I watched her as she talked animatedly with Raymond, her hands gesturing wildly. Who would have thought that Jess could give birth to such a sweet little girl?

Honestly, Kylie was nothing like her mother. I think she took after me mostly. She was patient, only spoke when spoken to, didn't interrupt someone when talking, and was a very quiet and shy little girl.

I don't understand why Jess doesn't make time as a mother to take care of her instead she spends all the day at the beauty salon or the spa or hanging out with those so-called friends of hers.

I can't even remember the last time I spent time with my daughter. She has been missing me so badly.

Kylie doesn't have a strong connection with her mother. Even though she gave birth to her, Jess always treated Kylie with a hint of hostility.

I don't understand the reason why but even Jess's mother treats her granddaughter differently which makes my daughter love my mother more than Jess's mother.
