Nicholas was dumbfounded.

What kind of reason was that?

Damon had always been cold and arrogant. So, hearing this from him sent shivers down Nicholas' spine.

"The last time I heard such a thing was from some random woman. What a hopeless romantic you are." Nicholas couldn't help but complain.

"I don't need you to be here. If there's nothing else you have to say, get the hell out of here—"

Damon's face was dark as he was about to shoo Nicholas away. But in the next second, his face softened, and his tone became a little gentler when he saw Celeste was walking out of the therapy room.

All the anxiety on her when she'd just arrived was gone. However, she might have cried since her face was pale, and her eyes were slightly red.

"Are you feeling better? You have no idea how worried Damon is," Nicholas said.

Damon gave Nicholas a warning glare. Then, he took off his coat and put it on Celeste. "Let's go back home."

On their way back, the two said nothing at the start.
