Of course it looked familiar to Damon.

It wasn't just any emerald pendant. It formed one half of the Celestial Bonds, which was a pair of matching pendants.

Damon didn't say a word. Instead, he walked further into the study and opened the drawer beside Celeste.

Then, he fished out another box that was almost the same size as hers.

When he opened the box, Celeste saw the other half of the matching pendant.

Celeste's pendant was shaped like a moon whilst Damon's one was a sun.

"That's what Henry gave you that day." Damon wasn't asking a question.

"Yeah. To be exact, he was just returning the pendant to its rightful owner." Celeste took Damon's pendant as well and played with both pendants.

She spoke with a low and hoarse voice. "Want to hear a story?"

"You can sit down and tell me," Damon replied.

It was rare for such a tight-lipped person like Celeste to talk.

Damon sat on the only chair in the study and carried Celeste up to sit on his lap. He only felt at ease whe
