Chapter Eighty Five

Adriana’s POV

“Massimo has been shot.” Michael said to me whilst prancing about the almost empty room restlessly and as soon as the words left his mouth, I sprang up from the chair I had been sitting on and quickly grabbed him by his arm.

“When? How? By who?” I rushed out in panic.

Michael, who seemed too cool in my own perspective, quickly came to my aid. He gently wrapped his arms around me and then led me back to the chair where he pushed me into the warm comfiness.

“He was shot at Louis’ club yesterday… I’ve been waiting for you to wake up to tell you but the drug he spiked your drink with yesterday knocked you out cold, it’s been quite difficult to wake you up.”

“I said it! It was a bad idea to go to Lux’s the way he did!” I nearly screamed.

My heart had begun beating so fast and even my hands were shaking uncontrollably. The thought of Massimo going through so much trouble just to get me out made me sorry for him. It also ignited some kind of feeling in my chest that I couldn’t
