Chapter 5

Cassandra’s POV

When Trevor left, I immediately fixed myself and went to the mall with Hanna. We are going to go shopping. Of course, I need some new outfits for my new work.

“Are you going to the mall looking like Cassandra? You need to cover yourself. People might recognize you”

Hanna said while looking at me. Oh right! I need to wear sunglasses and a face mask to cover myself.

We arrived at the Mall and started to browse some clothes. Hanna and I bought some clothes, bags and high heels.

I'm really in a good mood when I go shopping.

Shopping is one of the best events in a girl's life.

This is everything haha.

We walked for like 1 hour in the mall and I was feeling so tired. I asked Hanna to bring our shopping bag first to the car and I will just follow her because I need to go to the restroom. I can't take this anymore. I need to pee.

After I peed, I just take a glance in the mirror to see if I’m still looking pretty. I catch the eyes of the 4 girls, they are looking at me. Damn it! Do they recognize me?

“Cassandra Lei Tan?”

One girl said, and all the others looked at me.

“No! I’m not here, you got the wrong person”

I explained and hurriedly ran outside.

“It’s her’ It's Cassandra Lei”

I heard them say. Oh my gosh! Now they are running after me.

I run as fast as I could. Damn! They are almost close. I’m in the parking lot now, and I'm looking for my car. Where did Hanna park it? This place is huge!

Oh my! They are almost close. I don't want to be exposed in the media, for now, people will just make an issue about it. I ran toward an unfamiliar car.

A man got out of the car. He closed the door and locked it. He’s about to go but I stopped him.

I’m sorry Mr. Unknown but I have no choice.

I walked toward him and kissed him. The man was shocked because of what I did. He froze for a moment but he immediately kissed me back. Woah! Damn it he’s a good kisser.

“Did you see her? I know it's her! Where did she go?”

One girl said. They run out of breath while running.

The other girl looked in our direction, she saw us kissing. But I bet she doesn't recognize me because this man’s tall figure is covering me.

“I think she went that way!”

One girl said and all of them ran in that direction. Those girls are worse than the paparazzi.

When I felt that they were gone, I stopped kissing the man. Woah! I ran out of breath, how long was that kissing?

Wait for what? Did I just kiss a stranger? Oh my gosh! I’m fucking out of my mind. I looked up at the man in front of me.

I froze for a moment, He’s so gorgeous. I think he's the most handsome man I’ve ever seen in my whole life. Damn! What a beautiful creature.

“I- I’m so sorry Sir, I didn't mean to do that, I'm sorry! I’m just in a very complicated situation a moment ago “

I explained and I am stuttering. Damn! What did I just do? He looked at me intently. Wait, does he recognize me?

“I don't accept apologies”

He coldly responds. Damn! Why does his voice sound so good even though it has no emotion in it?

He went closer to me and he took off my sunglasses. I can smell his perfume. Damn! He’s so close!

“I don't know who you are, but I’ll make sure that you pay me the next time I will see you by chance”

Why do I feel chills on my skin when he said that? He’s kinda scary!

He walked away after saying that. I was stunned. Woah! Did that just happen? That man doesn't recognize me at all.

“Cassy! What are you doing there? Come here! “

I heard Hanna call me from a distance. Damn! My car is over there. I walked towards her.

After our long day, Hanna and I went home.

I settle myself on my bed ready to sleep. Damn! I keep thinking about that man.

I wake up in the morning with excitement. I fixed myself and looked at the mirror. Damn I am so beautiful. I am wearing a presentable office outfit with a bit of sexiness in it. I need to look pretty for my first Job interview.

The people there must not know that I’m Cassandra Lei. I need to disguise myself as a normal person. Only Mr. Harrington must know my identity. Trevor already told him that I am an actress.

I wore a short hair wig and clear eye glasses. Damn I look like a sexy nerd. I think this would be enough as a disguise. People won’t recognize me by this.

This would be my first time applying for a job other than my acting Job. I’ve been an actress since I was 10.

at 9 a.m., I drove to the Xianda Inc. building. I need to go early because the traffic is very heavy. My appointment is at 10 though.

I arrived 30 mins before my scheduled time. Wow! This company building is so huge. I parked my car and made my way inside.

The receptionist asked me If I had an appointment and I said yes. She made a call to confirm everything. After her call, she looked at me and smiled.

“Mr. Harrington is waiting for you in his office Ms. Tan”

She said and I thanked her. She also told me that Mr. Harrington’s office is on the 30th floor.

I made my way to the elevator and pressed the 30th-floor button. Why do I feel so nervous?

I arrived at the said floor and staff assisted me to go inside Mr. Harrington’s Office.

I opened the door and entered his office. Mr. Harrington is sitting on his chair facing his back at me.

“Good morning Mr. Harrington, My name is Cassandra Lei Tan and I am here to apply as your secretary”

I said with confidence. Me. Harrington slowly turned his chair around.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the man that I kissed yesterday, sitting right in front of me.
