Almyra's POV

I laid on the bed still, I was yet to get a sleep since I came back from Paris and all I was doing at the moment was staring blankly into space. The softness of the bed enveloped me, a comforting contrast to the turmoil brewing inside.

I felt like I was floating, disconnected from the world around me. So engrossed in the bed I laid on and sleep on the other hand trying to overcome me.

My gaze drifted aimlessly, taking in the familiar contours of the room without really seeing them. Memories began to surface, like ripples on a pond, disturbing the calm.

As I sat there, lost in thought, the silence grew thicker, a palpable presence that wrapped itself around me. I felt the weight of my own thoughts, pressing down upon me, urging me to move, to act.

I rose up from the bed and sat up, I knew I could not evade this sleep, I was gonna succumb to it sooner or later, so I might as well surrender now. I let out a gentle sigh, feeling the softness of the bed cradle my weary body.
