Almyra's POV

Alarm sounds woke me up and I jumped off from bed. It was some minutes past six. I guess I was long gone from sleep since I slept late last night.

I walked towards the curtain and opened a part of it, the rays of the sunlight brightening up a part of the room and illuminating the dust particles that danced in the air, like tiny ballerinas performing a choreographed routine.

The warmth on my skin was a gentle caress, a comforting embrace that seemed to whisper, "A new day, a new beginning."

As I stood there, bathed in the golden light, I felt a sense of hope stir within me. The darkness of the previous day, the burden of firing my secretary has now adjusted.

I guess it was the feeling of betrayal that made me think the way I did yesterday. I guess I had a lot on my plate. That was why I was not able to think straight.

I opened the curtain wider, allowing more sunlight to flood the room, chasing away my shadows that lingered in the corners.

The brightness was almost blind
