I poked the bear, and now I was going to see if he would bite back.
“Are you threatening me, Triple Goddess?” he asked in a deadly yet calm voice. It is the first time I have heard him refer to me as Triple Goddess. Yet somehow, the way he said it didn’t feel like a term of endearment.
“Not threatening, just warning” I answered him. Keeping my face even and my tone level. He glared at me, and I glared back at him. We held each other's gaze for I don’t know how long.
