Lunaya.
Turns out we didn’t venture too far from the lodge. It only took us ten minutes to get back. Beta Bronson volunteered to go back along the path to find my clothes and return them to our room, while we met with Astéri and Elaine. We quickly slipped back to our room and got changed, then went in search of the two she-wolves. We found them in a large living space, and that is an understatement. The room is massive. It boasted a high ceiling with exposed wooden beams and chandeliers. Two large stone fireplaces giving the space a warmth and cosiness. Beautiful rugs littered the floor with a multitude of armchairs and sofas spread around the room. Elain and Astéri were seated on a large leather couch that curved around a beautiful antique looking coffee table.
“Did you enjoy your swim?” Astéri asked, a sly smirk playing on her face.
“We did, thank you. How did you know we went swimming?” I asked her as we sat
Lunaya.Sleep was near impossible, I think I may have drifted off for a total of two hours. The anticipation of the day to come was too much for my brain to handle. The things that Astéri was saying, the things that she said she did and was able to do. Only one other daughter has ever had that much power before, and that was Selena, the first daughter. My mind was alive with the possibilities, the potential that she could have. There is still so much that I don’t know but there is definitely a lot that I could teach her. If she accepts me. If she allows me to teach her, a whole new world of power could be opened up for her.We didn’t leave Lua Chei until after ten in the morning. A fact that annoyed me more than I care to mention. As much as I wanted to yell and scream and stomp my feet, I held my tongue. Astéri and her daughter are already doing us a great favour by helping us get into Tri-Moon, I couldn’t risk angering them, not when I
Lunaya. The change was upon me. One more push and my wolf will be tearing them to shreds. The boy snarled and dropped his arms, his stance was ready to attack. Alyse growled from beside me and Cleo from behind me. This wasn’t going to end well for these Weres. Before I got the chance to attack, the boy shot up straight and turned to face the forest. The pending fight with me and my crew was lost, and his attention was now elsewhere. The breeze crawled up the back of my neck, my skin once again broke out in goosebumps and I felt the prickle of electricity on my skin. That same voice called to me again. ‘Go to her’. The boy whipped around, his eyes meeting mine. A look of terror filled his face. Oh no. He took off for the trees, changing into his chocolate brown wolf in an instant. Half of the other Weres followed closely behind him.“Something is wrong” I said before taking off after them, changing into my wolf mid stride. Elaine, Cleo and Phoebe flanked me on both
Lunaya. The woman, Romeá, led us on a wild goose chase through the thick of the forest. We walked for at least half an hour, the village and the party were long behind us. The roars of the male wolves and the constant howling rang through the trees. Whatever this girl did, it clearly has a lasting effect. I have heard of a few other daughters through our history that had similar effects on the male population, but nowhere near to this extent. This kind of reaction is off the charts. Such a large range of Weres, spread out over an expansive space, and all suffering some intense reactions. It was like she released her own chemical weapon.Soft screams could be heard through the forest up ahead. I picked up my pace, walking a few steps in front of Romeá now. A small hut slowly appeared through the trees, the screams were coming from underneath it.“What is this place?” I asked, turning back to glare at Romeá. The little cabin was dirty, and small and looked like it co
Lunaya.“I will go find the others then” I said as I looked to Elaine. She nodded her head and backed out the door. Cleo was laying on the ground, still in her burgundy and grey wolf form, while Phoebe leaned up against a tree.“Phoebe, you will stay with me and we will take first watch over the Goddess. Cleo, you will accompany Lunaya back to the village to find the others. We will be refreshing guards every three hours” Elaine directed. Cleo stood and took a few steps closer as Elaine spoke. Phoebe nodded and walked around the other side of the cabin, scouting the perimeter, I assume.“I will send more she-wolves out shortly. Thank you, Beta Elaine” Romeá spoke kindly. Her soft and genuine words were a stark contrast to the constant firmness that I have grown use to from the Luna Eclipse she-wolves.Elaine moved to stand in front of the cabin door and crossed her arms over her wide set chest. Romeá walke
Zelena.Travis leaned forward, I thought he was going to bow but instead he pressed his lips to the back of my hand. The feel of his lips and small fleck of saliva, it burned against my skin. My stomach tightened and I nearly doubled over in pain. I tried to rip my hand from Travis’s, but he didn’t let go. I looked up at his face and his eyes had turned dark and his lips curled back. A low growl slowly bubbled through his clenched teeth, getting louder, until it was rolling all around us.“Trav what the fuck are you doing?” Maryann demanded, grabbing hold of him and trying to get his attention. I struggled to pull my hand free, but he fought against me.*My heat!*I screamed through my flash to both Gunner and Tobias. At first, I thought it was just Travis growling, I was wrong. He wasn’t alone. It was all of the Howlers pack men, all the ones that had come over to greet us, they were now slowly circ
Zelena. My body feels like I have rolled down a tall mountain, hitting every bump, every boulder, every pointed and sharp surface along the way. Everything felt tight and constricted. My stomach had turned in on itself, and even just the thought of rolling over brought me more pain. I struggled to open my eyes, even my eyelids hurt. I couldn’t move, I didn’t have the energy and I didn’t have the strength to face more pain.“Zelena” a soft melodic voice called to me. The sound was blissful and soothing. I groaned in response, begging to hear more of it.“Hey little wolf, are you awake?”Ah, that voice. The voice of my love, my life. I forced open my eyes and blinked rapidly, trying to bring them into focus. Gunner sat on a chair in front of me, leaning forward and staring down at me. My first thought is ‘why are you so far away from me right now’. I was laying on the floor, or on a mattress on the floor
Zelena.“Thank you” I huffed, my chest heaving for air,“Did it help?” he asked, sounding just as breathless,“More than you know”.He pulled me up so that I laid half across his chest, and then lifted my leg up over his waist so that my bare pussy was pressed against his upper thigh. We huffed and puffed until we both caught our breath again and calmed down.“I’m sorry” he said quietly,“For what?” I asked a little confused,“For a lot of things, but mainly for not helping you like that sooner”.I held in a chuckle, a gut feeling told me this was not the time to laugh at his unnecessary apology.“It was like you said, I was unconscious, there was nothing you could have done”“I could have got you away from that fucking situation a lot quicker. Could have got you to safety sooner, before you got to the point that you we
Zelena.I laid with my head resting on Gunner’s chest. We had stayed here for a few more hours, just to be on the safe side. To make sure the heat was really over. I looked around at the small room, a familiar feeling came to me. I’ve been here before.“Gunner, where are we?” I asked as I sat up,“Huh?” he mumbled.“What is this place?”Gunner sat upright and glanced at me. He bit his lip and rubbed his hand over the back of his neck, something I have noticed he does when he is nervous or uncomfortable.“It’s uh, it’s the cabin” he said meekly.“The cabin? What cabin?” I looked around the room again. The cold concrete floor, the steel walls and the iron bars covering the door. I have definitely been here before. A sick feeling filled my stomach and I wanted to vomit.“Gunner, why?” I grunted as I slowly stood up off the raggedy mattr
Zelena. With my head on Tobias’s chest and the warmth of his body washing over me, his steady heartbeat was slowly lulling me to sleep. That peace was broken when a group of wolves came running through the village, stopping at the bottom of the porch steps. I stood up and walked to the railing, only for Tobias to push me behind him and growl down at the gathered wolves. The largest of the group, a brownish orange wolf, changed form and stood up. I recognise this guy, he’s the same age as Gunner and me, and a friend of Gunner’s. He had been making his way up in the ranks over the past few months. Daniel, I think his name is. I stepped around Tobias and looked down at the muscular Were. His blonde hair sat in a shaggy mess of curls atop his head, and his dark hazel eyes looked back up at me. He was quite tall, with a slim frame sporting a lot of defined muscles. “You’re Daniel, right?” I asked him. He bowed his head and placed his hand over his heart. “
Epilogue.Zelena.My brain is ready to explode. Firstly, I find out that I'm pregnant, which of course I'm thrilled about now. Admittedly, I was terrified at first, but it’s hard to be scared when so many people around you are happy and excited. Their excitement has rubbed off on me. Roe has already started arranging a Litter Party, which is apparently like a baby shower. She hasn’t let me see it, but I know she is working on a nursery as well. Nat has been a constant at my side. Always happy to talk babies and throwing ridiculous baby names at me. Something is going on with Nat, I can’t put my finger on it yet. She has been avoiding talking about herself, which is weird and alarming all on its own. Each time I try to talk about her, she swings the topic back around to me or babies. Maybe she is just lonely, with Smith taking on most of the Beta duties, he is barely around. I understand if that’s what is bothering her, I miss him too. Smith is m
Lunaya.“You’re pregnant” I blurted out.Zelena choked and sat up straight. Her wide eyes finding mine immediately.“Excuse me?” she squeaked. Gunner snaked his arm further around her waist and pulled her into him closer. A protective and possessive motion. Something I remember all too well with Micha. His protective instincts increased tenfold. He was a warrior, so he was already very protective. But the second he could sense hispup,he wouldn’t let anyone get close to me without a warning growl. Gunner’s an Alpha, so his instincts would be higher still.
Lunaya.Alyse and I were huddled in the corner booth, stuffing our faces with bread and lukewarm stew. Alyse had her legs draped over mine so that she was nearly in my lap. I had a piece of bread hanging between my teeth as I waved it in front of Alyse’s mouth. She chuckled and snapped her teeth at the bread, pulling it from my mouth. I laughed and grabbed either side of her face, I pulled her to me and pressed my lips to her cheek. The kitchen door flew open and in walked Gunner with Zelena in his arms. She had her arms and legs wrapped around him like a koala. Alyse and I went silent as we watched them enter. Gunner paused and flicked his eyes to mine. He quickly looked to Alyse and then down at the bowls in front of us, before continuing on into the kitchen. I sat up straight, expecting that he would put Zelena down so I could see her. But instead, he kept one arm under her backside and carried her with him to the fridge. Zelena had her head nuzzled into the crook of
Lunaya.I left Zelena to rest and went in search of Alyse. No doubt she is tending to the injured Weres. As I made my way outside, I found the clearing filled with bandaged and bloodied Weres. Most of them were up and about, walking around or sitting and talking. Some, however, were laid out on stretcher beds, in far worse shape. A few tables had been set up with some she-wolves serving food to the warriors. I spotted Alyse flittering between two stretcher beds and made my way to her.“Can I help?” I asked. I stepped up behind her as she was wiping the blood from a she-wolfs face. Alyse jumped with a squeak and turned around, I’d startled her. I smiled and she sighed.“No love, you need to rest as well. Go get yourself something to eat, I will join you shortly” she squeezed my forearm with a soft smile on her beautiful face, before turning back to the she-wolf. I looked around and spotted Ares sitting with his sister on some large l
Lunaya. That fucking Origin Alpha. He tried to force her to be his Mate. Not the first time a descendant of Gill has tried to blend the bloodlines. The fucker already had a Mate and heir, plus Zelena has a destined Mate. What idiot told him that it would work. Oh, let me guess that fool of a Prophet. Fucking bastards. Artemis thought she had to choose between two mates, and so they tried to force her hand. Those damned idiots! My anger flared and before I got the chance to compose myself, I slammed my fist into the tiled wall. The tiles cracked and shattered at the force of my punch and then clattered to the floor. Tobias looked at me with a quirked eyebrow, “You already know?” he said. “Yeh, I already know. The Origin Alpha, right? That fucking treacherous line of egotistical morons. Gill’s descendants have been trying to snag a daughter of Selena for generations. Came close at one point, but they never succeeded in joining the lines” I snarled. “Com
Lunaya. The trip back to Tri-Moon was dismal. All of Lua Chei, apart from Analah, Ares and four others, went back to their pack lands. Alpha Travis bid farewell and left for Waning Wolf with his warriors. Tobias insisted that his brother, Alpha Marius, went back home. They argued over it for a while, but Tobias won, and his brother went back to their pack. Alpha Lace however, he refused to go home. He sent his men and Beta back, keeping only three Weres with him. He was very insistent on coming back to Tri-Moon, and I am very curious as to why.Tobias and Gunner were very tight-lipped about what ever happened out there. All they said was that the Origin Alpha murdered Cole, and then they killed him in return. As for Zelena and her unconscious state, they said that she depleted her energy fighting off the Alpha. I could tell they were lying. Zelena is a Triple Goddess. It would have weakened her, but not to this extent. Something else happened. And I'll be dammed if the
Zelena. “It’s my fault. I sent my brother to die” Gunner cried and squeezed his arms. My chest constricted under his hold, and I couldn’t take a full breath. But my concern was for my pup. His arms were crushing me under the weight of his guilt, and our pup along with it. I tapped on his head to let me go but my signal didn’t register. *Gunner, you’re crushing our pup* I flashed him in a strained tone. He immediately shot himself back, flying his body off the bed and across the room. He held his hands out in front of him, like he was trying to show me he wouldn’t hurt me. The same way he did on the day I first changed. I know he won't hurt me on purpose. What is this about? “I’m sorry, I'm sorry. I didn’t mean to, I swear it” he rushed out as his eyes swept down my body. A look of shame and disgust filled his eyes. But I could still feel him, his emotions and tho
Zelena. “Mother?” I said meekly. “Yes, daughter of mine” Selene answered me. “You’re Selene, the Moon Goddess?” Gunner stated obviously. She turned her angry eyes to him and nodded. Gunner dropped to the ground on his hands and knees with his head pressed into the dirt. Tobias huffed and shook his head. “Too late for that don’t you think? You've already insulted and disrespected her” he grumbled. “Stand up boy” Selene snapped. Gunner shot back up to his feet immediately. He stood with his hands at his side and his head facing down. “Mother, what are you doing here?” I asked her, stepping forward. “I had no choice. I won’t stand back and watch you destroy yourselves. You are meant for more than that” she hissed harshly. I lowered my head as I filled with shame. She's mad. I made her mad. “I... I'm sorry” I said softly. A tear ran down my cheek as I looked back up at her. Her pale white eyes gazed back at me sadly. She wa
