Chapter 44 - Meeting her Mate

The woman, Romeá, led us on a wild goose chase through the thick of the forest. We walked for at least half an hour, the village and the party were long behind us. The roars of the male wolves and the constant howling rang through the trees. Whatever this girl did, it clearly has a lasting effect. I have heard of a few other daughters through our history that had similar effects on the male population, but nowhere near to this extent. This kind of reaction is off the charts. Such a large range of Weres, spread out over an expansive space, and all suffering some intense reactions. It was like she released her own chemical weapon.
