He told his wife that if she was too uncomfortable to handle that, then she should walkout, and just like Amelia, she hadn’t. Perhaps that’s why Amelia couldn’t walk out of her marriage: she had seen her mother stay in such.
Amelia thought of Greg as cute. She had been stealing glances at him after their small encounter.
She wanted to know more about him, and she yearned for a man who could make her feel loved, and she suspected Greg could easily do that.
“You went to the bedroom early. Why aren’t you asleep yet?” Roberto asked, climbing the bed.
Amelia smelled a strong smell of liquor and knew he had been drinking. She had known it was useless arguing with him if he was drunk, so she just said she couldn’t sleep.
