Greg was sitting in his hotel room contemplating his next move when he received an email from Roberto notifying him of their decision to have him as the head chef in their hotel.
He reread the email thinking his eyes were playing games on him, and when he finally confirmed that it was all true, he had mixed feelings. He really wanted to work for such a prestigious hotel, and he also wanted to run his own hotel. His restaurant was his baby, and he had nurtured it to where it currently was.
Not knowing what to do, he called Paul. He would have an idea of what ought to be done.
“How are you lost, sheep?” Paul asked, and Greg laughed.
He valued his relationship with Paul, they could spend days without talking, and when they finally did, it was like they had not stopped. Paul didn’t even question why he hadn’t picked his call last time and why he took so long to get back to him. He knew Greg would open up at his own time.
