The Duty (2)

I took a deep breath, looked through the peephole, focused on the head of the man sitting further to the left, and I could see him laugh as he took a drink.

I took a deep breath, then held it and pulled the trigger. It was a clean shot, and the man fell on his back. The other guys stared at him for a few seconds, and they looked at his fallen partner, which facilitated my work. I aimed at the skull of the second.

I pulled the trigger, another man down, instantly the remaining man started screaming as he ran into the house, but I shot him right in the back, he fell to his knees, I felt a bitter taste in my mouth, and I pulled the trigger again.

I waited a few minutes before moving forward, I could see the light inside the house, but there wasn’t any movement. I put the rifle on my back and slowly started approaching the house.
