The Duty (3)

Suddenly I opened my eyes, and I could realize that there was a woman with orange hair looking at me while wiping the sweat from my forehead. Suddenly our eyes found each other. She stared at me for a few seconds, and then she changed her expression to a very surprised one.

"Doctor." She said as she stormed out of the cubicle.

Several minutes passed when the girl returned with a man in a white coat.

"How are you?" He asked while he went through a folder. "Richard Conrad."

I let out a sigh, then turned my gaze to the window as the wind rippled the sheets that covered my cubicle.

"At least I am alive," I said with a sad tone.

"How are Simurd and Kayn?" I curiously asked.

The doctor turned the sheets he had in the folder a couple of times. He came up to me as he slowly ran one of his hands over the bandages that covered my abdomen and asked, "Do you feel any discomfort over here?"
