Chapter 3

 Lois' heart skipped a beat, in front of her was Leo, his father and another young man he looked like Leo but younger. She walked closer as their eyes were on her. She felt their gazes pierce through her skin. 

"Ahh Lois you're here." Leo said as he walked close to her, to Lois'surprise he hugged her and then proceeded to kiss her. The kiss caught her off guard, as Leo pressed his soft tender lips on hers she felt something run through her body, her heart skipped a beat. 

Leo broke the kiss, he smiled and turned to his father, "Father this is my wife Lois, a woman I love with all my heart body and soul." Leo said holding Lois close to him. Lois who still recovering from the shock of earlier. Lois turned to look at Leo's father. 

"I'm happy to finally meet you sir, I have heard so much about you." Lois said as she bowed her head greeting Eric. Eric was impressed that the girl had such exquisite manners. 

"When my son told me that he had married I thought he had married a street slut with no manners but your manners have blown my mind away." Eric said with a big smile. 

Leo's face lit up, he was happy that his father was impressed that Lois had good manners. Malia left Lois and walked towards Eric, Leo's heart rate increased; what was the little girl going to do.

Malia walked up to Eric, she was standing face to face with him. Everyone was surprised and shocked seeing her do that. "If he's the prince of the palace that means you're the king." Malia said innocently, her words made Lois'heart drop to her guts. She was scared that Eric will be enraged, but to everyone's surprise it was the opposite.

Eric smiled, "Yes dear, I'm the king of the mansion, and who might you be?" Eric asked with a smile on his face. Malia smiled and turned to point at Lois. 

"I'm Malia, she's my big sister and my bestest friend." Malia said still pointing at Lois, Eric looked at Lois and stood up. He patted the little girl's head. 

"I see she's your younger sister, what of your parents?" Eric asked, when he asked the question Lois' face suddenly turned gloomy. 

She was almost at the point of crying but she held herself together.

"We lost them to a car crash, I have been taking care of her since she was three, she's all I had left in the world till i met Leo." Lois said as she grabbed Leo's hand and held it tight, Leo held her too. Eric looked at the two of them and smiled. 

"I am glad that you found someone that loves you." Eric said smiling, he turned to Malia. "And what does the little princess like?" Eric asked Malia who was still standing in front of him.

"Hmmmm, ponies." Malia said smiling, Eric patted her head and smiled. "Ponies, hmmm those are easy to find. Rest assured I will get you the pony, welcome to the family Lois and Malia." Eric said as he smiled at Lois. 

Leo was happy and glad that his father had accepted Lois, his brother stood there smiling. 

"Welcome to the family sister in law." Noah said still smiling. Leo was happy that his plan went accordingly, he helped Lois to their room. 

"You make yourself at home now Lois, I need to go get something from the office I will back soon. If you need anything call Edward he will help with it." Leo said as he left the room. 

She started to unpack her things, she looked at the bed to see that there was a box with her name on it. She opened it to see expensive clothes and jewellery and a note that says from your friend Diana. 

"I can't believe this is actually happening, I thought it was over for I and Malia but now we are happy again. I better not ruin things with Leo I pray he gets the property so I and Malia can leave his life and not bother him again." Lois said in her thoughts.

She unpacked everything, she then headed downstairs where she met the old butler. "Mrs Lois, is anything I can do for you?" Edward asked in british style. Lois was fascinated by the way, Edward addressed her. 

"Please, call me Lois I'm much younger than you. I would like to know where the kitchen is, you see I'm a little bit hungry." Lois said as she smiled. Edward smiled a bit, he couldn't help it. This was the first time someone had told him to address them by their name instead of using the normal formalities. 

"It's that way, Mrs hmm I mean Lois dear." Edward said pointing to his left, Lois waved bye and started advancing to the kitchen. Edward looked at her and smiled to himself. 

Lois was on her way to the kitchen when she noticed something that caught her interest, it was Malia and Eric. They were in the study room and it seemed that she was reading Eric a book about ponies she had. Lois smiled, she felt relieved that the child service agency won't come to take Malia to a foster home anymore. 

Lois went to the kitchen, she saw the maids preparing something. They all bowed their heads to greet her like she was some sort of queen. "Please don't do that, I'm only human too, I'm here to take something to eat." Lois said. 

"Ma'am, you didn't have to stress yourself, we will bring your meal to your room once it's ready." One of the maids said, looking at Lois with worry in her eyes. Lois felt awkward having someone bring her lunch to her, but she didn't argue with them. 

"Ok, I will be waiting." Lois said as she left the kitchen, "All of them work for the family, they have so many people working for them. That reminds Leo's brother looks nothing like him. He looks nice and very social." Lois thought to herself as she walked to her room. 

She got to the room and decided to use the bathroom. She freshened herself up and tried one of the clothes Diana gave her, they were just her size. Lois couldn't help but shed a tear thanking God for bringing Leo to her. 

She noticed something on the bed, it was a letter in an envelope. She took it up and opened it, it read; 

Come to the room in the guest house there is something I want to show you. 

 The letter only had a few words, Lois was surprised she thought it might be Leo, maybe he had something to show her. She decided to go see him. There was a knock at the door Lois was surprised for a while she had forgotten that she wasn't at her old apartment anymore. 

"Ma'am it's us, we have your food." These were the words Lois heard from the other side, she realised it was the maids. She got up and opened the door and collected it from them. 

"Thank you." Lois said as she collected the tray of food from their hands smiling. Lois placed the tray on the table. She turned back to see the maids still standing there.

"If you need anything else, please be sure to let us know." The maid said as she was about to leave. Lois turned to ask a question. 

"Please where is the guest house?" Lois asked so she won't be lost if she starts looking for the guest house. 

"Just outside the mansion by the left, if that's all I will see you later Ma'am." The maid said leaving, Lois waved as the maid went back to her duties. Lois closed the door and made her way to the guest house.

 She got to the guest house. It was in good shape like they had been taking good care of it, she knocked on the door to check if someone was inside. "Come in." Said a voice from the inside. 

Lois opened the door, but it wasn't Leo she saw there. "It's you." Lois said with a surprised look on her face.
