01 - CALISTA

I woke up when I heard noises coming from the outside of my unit’s door. I can hear girls knocking and shouting my name. Inabot ko yung cellphone ko para matignan kung anong oras na dahil naging abala ako sa pag-aaral ng mga lessons kagabi para may konting alam na ako para sa darating na new school year.

Pumunta ako sa may pintuan at binuksan ito.

“I thought you wouldn’t open the door for us, young lady.” Ava said as she entered my unit like she is the owner.

“Let me guess, you spent your night studying again right?" Berenice also gave her comment about me not opening the door for them.

“Anong ginagawa niyo dito,mga hampaslupa?” Tanong ko sa kanila nung nakapasok na sila sa loob ng unit ko at nakaupo na ngayon sa sofa.

“Hoy, bakla ka huwag mong sabihin na nakalimutan mong pupunta tayo ng mall ngayon? and we are knocking at your door for 30 minutes already.” Lorry said.

Shoot! I forgot that we have to buy the things that we need for the coming school year kasi 20 days nalang ang natitirang summer vacation.

“I didn’t. I just got overwhelmed on my study. Wait for me here, I’ll just take a bath for 20 minutes.” I lied so they won’t be more irritated.

“Keep lying Calista. We know that you forgot because you don’t like people waiting for you. You said every people have their important treasure, and that’s time.” Berenice said.

“Eh? Alam niyo naman pala bakit pa kayo nagtanong?Ano to pabobohan lang? Ganon? I said to them.

“Gaga kasi tong si Lorry eh.” Ava said.

“I’m sorry that I forgot and I lied to you people. I was just carried out of my study last night and I slept so last that’s why I didn’t hear you knocking. Kung gusto niyo, mauna nalang kayo sa mall sunod nalang ako.” I apologized to them.

“Wow so good naman,Cali. Baka kunin ka ni Lord ng maaga.” Lorry said.

Natawa naman ang dalawa sa sinabi ni Lorry.

"Just joking,Cali. Baka kasi hindi mo na ako ireto sa mga lalaking kilala mo eh." wika ulit ni Lorry.

"ULOL!" I said to her na ikinatawa nilang tatlo.

“Okay lang kame dito,Cali. Ang ganda pala ng new place mo dito ahh. I was thinking na bumili rin ng bagong unit and guess what gusto kong dito rin.” Ava said.

“Pwede rin, but you sure lahat ng planong gagawin ko sa buhay sasama kayong tatlo?” I asked.

“Syempre naman.” sabay pangang sagot ng tatlo.

"Okay,then. Maliligo na ako, if you want food nasa kitchen lang hanapin niyo okay? Huwag tanga tanga." sabi ko sa kanila habang naglalakad papunta sa aking kwarto dahil may banyo rin doon.

I am Calista (Cali) Maia L. Chua. I am the daughter of Annalise L. Chua and Elizhere M. Chua, and ang pamilya ko ang may pianakamalaking companya ng hotel dito Zuy Latveria. I am now in my second year in college and I hope it will turn out great cause my mom transfered me in a new and the most famous university too. The Mintz University. Ang sabi niya rin is that the owner of the school is her childhood bestfriend too. They are like BFF goals. Pareho silang mayaman.

Lorry Michaela Lopez(Lorry), Berenice Athena Vellego(Berenice), and Aviva Loraine Diego(Ava). They are my best friends since elementary grade, kaya nasanay na sila na palagi akong kasama. Nung nalaman nila kay mom na I will transfer to another school, dali dali rin silang nagpaalam sa mga parents nila na to let them transfer too. 

That makes me worry a little bit less cause meron na akong kakilala sa bagong university at mga maiingay pa so sure akong magiging madali lang buhay naming apat. 

Wala rin naman silang problema about the money cause all of our families mayayaman, siguro sa batch lang namin bababa, kasi lahat kame bulagbul, huwag naman sana. 

Lahat kame may sariling unit, yung last na unit ko is malapit lang sa kanila. But then, dahil nga I moved to other school napagisipan ni mommy na bumili nalang ng bagong unit na mas malapit sa school ko at yung dati kong unit ay binenta na sa iba.

Kahit na busy si mommy and daddy, they will always make time to see me and ask how am I doing. Sa edad kong ito I feel so lucky na ganyan padin nila ako tratuhin. You can say they treat me like a princess. Ayaw na nila akong umuuwi sa mansyon namin kaya bumibili nalang sila ng unit para sa akin, kasi yung mansyon namin sobrang layo like 2 hours to 3 hours driving until you reach my new school.

I got back to my sense when Ava knocked on my room's door. 

"Pokpok, hindi kapa tapos diyan?"aniya.

"Almost." sabi ko sa kanya habang sinusuot and aking damit.

I just wore a short skirt, a black tank top and a blazer. I put light make up too, wore my white branded shoes, and carried my cute black with blue shoulder bag where I put my phone and wallet.

I walked out of my room, and the girls looked at me with amusements in their eyes. Like? Duh! It’s just me.

“How can you slay with just wearing those simple clothes?” Berenice said still looking at me.

"Ako lang to guys." I said with a teasing smile flusttered on my lips.

"No wonder palagi kang nakakabingwit ng mga lalake sa daan." sabi naman ni Ava.

"Like yucks,Ava. Parang ginawa mo naman akong pokpok o malandi niyan eh. Ang ganda nasana ng hangin, dumating ka pa." I joked.

They laughed at what I have said and I think we are wasting so much time and mag aalas dos na rin pala.

"Guys it is almost 2 pm. Sa Mall nalang tayo kumain, I will treat you lunch nalang dahil alam kong mga patay gutom kayo." sabi ko sa kanila at lumabas na kame ng unit para pumunta sa parking lot ng buiding and ginamit lang namin na car is yung kay Lorry but si Ava ang nagdrive.
