“Sign here,”

I threw the document at father. There was no way I could officially take time off as Prince without his permission.

“Why? What are you up to, son?” he snarled.

“Son…” I repeated at him, in disbelief. “…you do not get to call me that, Vladmir.”

His hands trembled, the minute my darkness threatened to surface. This was one of the reasons I was taking time off. Ever since I woke up, the 21st century ways were foreign to me. I needed to learn, reboot, and use my knowledge in a comeback as King.

“Fine,” he said. “The court doesn’t need you anyway.”

His hands were fast to sign the paper, without looking at the conditions. That was exactly what I needed; his foolishness would cost him a lot soon.

I smoothly took the official document from him. It was drafted by the attorney of the vampire court, which he suspected. I moved to walk out, when he stopped me.

“Are you taking your wife along with you?” he asked, making me freeze on spot.
