36 - Crystal Ball

Katherine’s POV

My room was empty and void. I had told my companions to wait outside because I needed this amount of privacy. For my important findings, I needed it also on the truth behind why I felt that way few days ago.

My heart had raced, and I felt butterflies occupy my tummy. A little giddy, sweating in my palms, I was so uncomfortable around the King’s guard.

“Goddess of the Moon,” I cried out to the crystal ball which had gem like mists in it. My room was known for its magical elements so this wasn’t new.

“Show me the possible fate between myself and Fang, the warrior of the King’s army…”

I knew I shouldn’t be doing this…

Prying into his private affairs… but I couldn’t help it. Worse still, it seemed my liking for him was unrequited. Day by day, I became sick of our plain interactions.

He seemed to have a respect for me as the King’s daughter. I hated it with solid passion.
