Poking

Riley is deep asleep when she felt like someone is trying to poke inside her head. She felt like someone is trying to enter her mind again. She pushed whoever was trying to force their way inside her head with everything she got and woke up feeling scared and suffocated. This is not the same kind of fear she experienced when her mind was under someone else's control. This is the fear which is worrying her that whoever it is might try to control her again. That is scary and she doesn't want to feel like an outsider inside her own head.

"Hey, what happened?" Carter who is sleeping beside her woke up and asked when she sat up suddenly. He turned on the lights. When he saw how pale and tensed she is, he handed her a glass of water to drink, which she accepted gratefully.

"Are you alright?" he asked again. She is coiled up tightly like a wire. She looked really tensed.
