Chapter Forty-Six

Jane blinked as Reid’s face came into focus. His eyes looked accusingly at her but she didn’t understand why. The two men wore patches that identified them as pack police and she was being led to an office with Reid and Ryan following close behind them.

“Please take a seat Miss Winters,” the first man said.

“You can wait outside while we question her,” the second man said to Reid and Ryan.

Her hands were shaking again as the door closed behind her. The two men took chairs in front of her and they seemed scary to her. They were probably good at what they did because they were scaring the hell out of her.

“I’m pack officer Stein Wilbrook and that’s pack officer Kent Wallace.” The man that spoke had light blue eyes, a tanned face and he was built like a linebacker. Jane’s eyes flitted to the other man who had the same physique but his skin was paler than Stein’s and his eyes were a deep brown.
