Chapter 2

"Are you okay now?" Michael asked while handing over the towel prepared by him beforehand.

Kate smiled and nodded her head.

Michael also smiled, then jokingly said

"Wipe your face cleanly now. You look so 

Kate laughed at her friend's criticism.

While she also said it jokingly in return.

"Back at you. Don't come crying to me when your little boyfriend also cheated on you," Kate said.

Michael chuckled as if what he heard was the biggest joke of the century.

"He will not dare do that to me," Michael said while puffing up his chest, like he was proud of what he said.

"I put a tight leash on him." Michael added.

Kate chuckled.

She was really entertained today.

She blows her nose for the last time, while Michael does not hesitate to put on an expression that he is disgusted by what Kate is doing right now.

"Wanna stay in for dinner today?" Kate asked as she stood up.

"Of course! I'm going to also stay for the night," Michael said, but then paused.

"Hey, can I also call my little boyfriend over so he won't think that I'm cheating on him?" Michael added.

Kate nodded her head as she made her way to the kitchen.

"You do whatever you want to do. And also, I noticed the house seemed to be a bit lonely. The more the merrier, call him."

Michael cheered as Kate said those words.

Picking up his phone, he called his little boyfriend.

"Hi babe! Let's spend the night together at Kate's house!" That was what Kate heard before she focused her attention fully on what she cooked.

Arranging the ingredients she needed

She started to cook.

A minute passed, and Kate raised her head to look outside after she heard a noise.

Seeing an unexpected person appear before her eyes

Kate's eyes narrowed down as she opened her lips to ask, "What are you doing here?"

Her extremely cold voice not only startled Raize but also Michael.

Raize stood up straight and then stared straight into Kate's eyes.

"I-I wanted-"

Ting---! Ting---! Ding--!

The bell outside Kate's house continuously rang as Raize's words were cut off.

Kate looked at Michael as Raize looked at Kate.

Michael...

Michael pointed his little pinky to his chest.

Kate sighed after seeing that no one planned on getting to the door.

"Your little boyfriend is here. Open the door and get him," Kate expressionlessly said as she indifferently pointed out the spatula she was holding towards the locked door.

Michael finally moved after Kate said those words.

Nodding his head towards Kate, he looked at Raize for the last time and went to get his little boyfriend.

"B-boyfriend? What boyfriend? He has a boyfriend?" Raize asked questions one after another, and Kate furrowed her brows in annoyance.

"Yes, my friend had a boyfriend. So what? Never seen a guy having a relationship with the same sex?" Kate retorted back with a sneer after she thought that Raize was probably mocking her friend for being gay.

"That's not what I mean."

Ting--! Ting--! Ting---!

Raize closed his eyes as irritation and annoyance filled his being.

It seemed that he was cursed not to finish any words or sentences that he needed to say.

Kate tilted her head as she looked over towards the kitchen.

Her brows wiggled as she creased her forehead.

"I'm cooking something. If you want to say something to me, then you may wait until I finish what I'm doing here."

Kate did not wait to get Raize to respond back to what she said, as she had already entered the kitchen.

If she did not go in soon, her house would be on fire because her cooking was left unattended for seconds or minutes.

Raize only revealed a wry smile as he watched Kate enter the kitchen.

He walked towards where the couch is and sat down.

Michale, who got Gabrielle (his little boyfriend) in from outside, entered the house.

Raize came into contact with Michael's eyes, and Raize then looked at Gabrielle, who was holding Michael's arms so tight that after he let go,

Raize saw a visible hand mark on Michael's arm.

"Why are you still here? Who are you?" Michael and Gabrielle both opened their lips and asked questions at the same time.

Just that, their questions are different towards each other.

Michael asked Raize out of anger and annoyance, while Gabrielle asked out of jealousy as to why there was a new man present here.

"..."

Gabrielle should have thought first that this man was related to Kate.

But what can anyone do when Gabrielle has such a fickle mind when it comes to Michael's surroundings?

What toxic love this is.

Raize went silent as he looked at Gabrielle's posture as if guarding something precious that could not be stolen away.

And Michael's intimate response to this behavior.

His lips twitched in pain as his other half started cursing him yet again after both of them came to the conclusion that they—no, he—made a mistake by having to think that their mate cheated with Michael all the time.

All this time, he was a dumbhead.

"Yes! You are a fucking dumbhead! You shithead! How can you even try to accuse our mate like that?" Riz started cursing again.

Raize winced in pain as he pursed his lips.

"Okay. I'm sorry. I should not have accused her." Raize readily admitted his fault as he pressed his chest, which was hurting so bad when Riz wouldn't stop moving.

"Now stop moving!" Raize scolded.

Riz growled, but he then obediently stopped moving, lying down on the watery black pool.

"You should apologize to her as soon as possible, before she completely cuts ties with us because of you," Riz said for the last time as he closed his eyes, falling into deep sleep once again.

Raize sighed as he felt that the painful feeling he felt a while ago was gone.

Sitting up straight, he took the time to answer Michael and Gabrielle's questions.

"I still have something to say to Kate, and also..." Raize paused and looked over in Gabrielle's direction.

He then said, "I'm Kate, mate."

"Ex-mate, to be exact. You rejected me just hours ago, remember?" Kate, with plates on her hands filled with hot food, said after she got out of the kitchen:

Raize pursed his lips as he stared at Kate.

Riz, who had already calmed down and closed his eyes to rest, started making a fuss again after he heard what Kate said.
