Part two: Chapter 8

GAZELLE'S POV

Mai was on a spree, but I knew sooner than later, someone else was going to have to break the rules too to stop her.

That someone was likely going to be stronger, so for our sakes, I projected the fear of getting a powerful counter-attack, and that was all it took to get her out of the pool area.

The last time we faced a counterattack landed in Wolverine, and I knew my decision was going to get me in a lot of trouble with the board now.

And no one would care that this little holiday wasn't going in my favour.

I headed back to the dorm and shifted by my room. I was pretty sure the security cameras caught me already but I didn't care.

At least they wouldn't circulate the footage, laughing at me. Besides, there were cameras everywhere, including our rooms, so they could have a full twenty-four hours of our lives.

I hope they saw how much humiliation I was subjected to.

I locked my door and went to sleep but it didn't even take an hour before the speakers went blazing.
