GAZELLE'S POVI was suddenly aware of the eyes on me. This wasn't the plan at all. All I wanted to do was dance with Jenna or by myself. I looked at Jenna and she gestured at me to take it. I sucked in a breath. “Please?” He added and I took the hand skeptically. He placed his hand around my waist and the heat the contact generated made my palms sweaty. I wanted to say something but I was afraid if I spoke he would immediately recognise me. “What is your name?” Came the first question. One I couldn't offer an answer to. I expected him to be pissed but he chuckled. This was definitely Jayden. I could tell from the mannerisms and the way he spoke. “Alright, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. What training level are you in?” He asked instead. It was obviously level one since I've not participated in any training session yet but I didn't give any response.“For some reason, you do not want to speak but that is okay. I still want you as my date for the night,” he said a
SARAH'S POV I stood in a corner, watching them with anger. Why was my Jayden leaning so close to that thing? Was he trying to kiss her? That would certainly be the height of it. I could take anything but this insult. I couldn't even stand watching them anymore. The stupid thing probably thought she was special but the truth is that Jayden will always come back to me. No matter how many girls he chases, he will eventually lose interest in them and find himself back in my arms.I know I messed up but I am going to win him back no matter what it takes. And no stupid girl in a silly costume would stop that. I found the girls sitting at a VIP table, drinking and chatting away. “Girls,” I called their attention. “Have you picked who is going to be our ultimate clown for the night?”They exchanged glances. “I didn't think that was up to us to decide,” Carmen spoke. “She's right. We don't get to decide unless we're the ones pulling the prank, which, to the best of my knowledge, we
GAZELLE'S POVI was in trouble. Very big trouble. I cursed myself for leaving Jayden's side and even Jenna's. Both of them could have protected me from this. But here I was, alone, defenceless and cornered. Worse, I couldn't even use my wolf even if it wanted to because then, they would recognise me. Just as Gwen reached for the mask, the lights went off and it disoriented them. “What is happening? There has never been a power outage in Wolverine before now,” Sarah said. “I don't think it's an outage,” Carmen countered.I knew they would turn on their flashlights soon so I used the opportunity to crawl away from them while they argued about the light. My night sight was almost as clear as daytime so I easily manoeuvred through them into one of the stalls and locked it.I heard Jenna banging earlier, so I figured they must have locked the door. If only I had figured out that it was them on time, I would have locked the stall. “Turn on your flashlights! She's gone!” Gwen exclaime
GAZELLE’S POVI was panicking’ Everything I had been trying to hide in the last few hours had come to light, all because of what? A stupid table and some cupcakes.I couldn’t even look at him now. I was certain that he was regretting all the things he bought for me and even stressing himself to break the bathroom door. “You have such a beautiful voice,” he commented. “Why do you hide it?”The question made me raise my head. I certainly wasn’t expecting to hear that from him. I thought he would have figured out my identity from just hearing my voice, but I was wrong. He was totally clueless. “I don’t care what your reasons are, but I don’t want you to play this silent game all night. I want to talk to you so can you at least tell me your name?” He asked, and I shook my head. In the whole of Wolverine, I was the only one named Gazelle, so telling him that would be a big giveaway.“Maybe that is a little bit of a stretch,” he muttered. “Don’t tell me your name if you don’t want to. I
GAZELLES’S POVWhen she was talking about two halls, I should have asked her how she knew they were two. The fact that I was in the hall with a crowd of anticipating people and a big projector was at the front.I could see an excited Jenna run into the hall only for it to be slammed immediately. On meeting the empty hall, I could see the confusion and panic on her face. The crowd already started chuckling but I was worried for her.She ran to the door, trying to get it open but it wasn’t working. My heart was drumming in my chest. What were they going to do to her?“Let me out!” She yelled and I decided I was done watching. I was going to go out there and help her but just as I stood, the next thing on the screen made me freeze. There were bees. Like actual bees.It was like they were released from their hive or something. I couldn’t bring myself to move. This was like the most evil thing I had ever seen.As expected, Jenna panicked and began banging heavily against the door.I snapp
GAZELLE'S POVAfter what happened the previous night, I didn't think that I would want to attend another ball night. The plan was to remain in my bed and see Jenna later in the evening since she wasn't ready to see me this morning. But my little rest was caught short as I was sent a reminder of my punishment. I got off the bed dutifully and changed into a loose fitting outfit. I got my cleaning equipment and began my dirt. I cleaned up my dorm and thankfully, some cleaners had already cleaned the girlfriend's floor so I didn't have to deal with the obnoxious girls. The boys dorm was already cleaned so all I had to do was clean the surroundings and the boyfriend's suite. I took my time to clean because I didn't want them around when I was cleaning. By the time I was done with half of Wolverine, the ball had already begun and wolves were beginning to arrive. I spent one more hour cleaning before heading to the Boyfriends suite. There was no one at home which was a relief. Or so I
JORDAN'S POVI was feeling a lot of different emotions, all of them in the negative.Gazelle's presence beside was doing a lot more than I expected it could to keep me calm and collected. The spoon in my hand lifted oh so slowly up into my mouth, carrying with it ice-cream that should be divine, but just tasted like sawdust."What are you guys doing in here?" Jeremy's voice carried through the semi-open doorway. We both looked up at the sound of his voice, one of us frozen in her place. I glanced at her in a very brief way but she didn't even look back, her eyes were pinned on him as he strolled into the room."Nothing that should concern you." My voice held a finality that would get anyone else to back off, but this was Jeremy I was speaking about. His face morphed into a huge smile. "Ah. You could've invited me to join in the fun." His eyes flickered between Gazelle and me, a knowing smile on his face.I almost gagged at the suggestion he was making. "Gross. Get your stupid mind out
GAZELLE'S POV I either didn't hear right or I heard completely wrong. Did Jordan just say he would have one of the Girlfriends bring dinner up to my room? My eyes moved up to meet his in obvious shock, and I noticed he wasn't even staring at me. He was too busy glaring at Sarah, who looked just about ready to have the earth swallow her up, to pay any attention other than the verbal acknowledgement that left me in shock. "What the hell, Jordan?! Are you fucking this pig? Is that why you care so much about her? I would've thought you had better taste than that, being Jayden's brother and all." Sarah's voice is high pitched and ringing with enough disbelief. Just as much as I felt up until het words registered in my skull. What? What was it with everyone and making disgusting assumptions today? Jordan's gaze finally landed on mine and his glare turned icier. I could totally see how he would be pissed off over the fact that people are now assuming he's having... eww with me.
