The mates walked through the front doors and entered a living room. It wasn't large compared to the rooms she had been seeing in the castle, but it was a spacious living room. The sofas were pure white and had gold designs around the base and under it as the small legs which held it up. They were about four and were around the large glass table in the middle of the room.
A television sat by the wall facing the sofas. All around were heavy, golden curtains over the windows. They had white threads hanging from them in a manner that spelt royalty. Olive felt like she was in another luxurious city. She loved how the room looked. Cozy royalty.
How would it feel like raising kids here? Wayne would be watching the television with the kids all entwined around him while she would be setting the table for dinner. She blushed at the thought and pinned her lips together to refrain herself from grinning like a moron.
“I'm guessing you like this place. And you're getting one
“The Cherry Blossom Gala is very important for each Alpha. I heard Alphas are not supposed to miss it,” she stated and he nodded.“I never really missed anyone. No matter how busy I am, I at least show my face for a few minutes then head out,” he said and sipped his wine.“And the Mating Ritual is also very important. I don't think mates can wait for another Mating Ritual to get joined together.”She thought for a few seconds while Wayne peered at her attentively. As if trying to read her mind. She licked her lips slowly then stared back at him.“Is it possible to shift the Mating Ritual until before or after the Cherry Blossom Gala?” she asked.“Shifting the Mating Ritual has a lot of repercussions. Mates could be misgiven,” he explained while still staring at her.“And there's no way to correct it before then?”“There is. But the Alpha needs to be involved
Wayne's face turned into a deep frown that he suddenly looked scary. Olive was still choking so he turned his face from Gia and handed her a napkin.“Sip tiny water,” he said in a very dark and angry voice.“Thanks,” she croaked and sipped a little water from his glass. He got up and stood behind her, patting her back gently until she calmed down. Her eyes were red and her face flushed.“I'm sorry, I didn't mean to barge in on whatever's—” Gia's circled her index finger around, gesturing at the table, “—going on here.” Her tone was purely sarcastic. Olive gave her a glare. How did she even get here?Wayne stood upright and looked at Gia who returned his stare with one as dark and hard as the one he was giving her. She was so angry. So mad at him. If her heart could throw daggers then Olive would be pinned to the wall with daggers all over her body. How dare that lowlife come and take a pos
After kissing for a full minute, Olive's eyes returned to normal. Her fangs and claws withdrew. She looked at Wayne who was still holding her and kissing her and she frowned. She pushed him away and he staggered back in surprise. Before he could say boo, a slap tore across his face. Then another slap. Then a third one. Then the fourth one. All on one cheek. It wasn't painful for him. But it hurt him. Somewhere inside his chest was hurting.“You liar! You womanizer! I hate you! I hate you so much!” she cried as she began to hit him all over his body. He grabbed her arms and pinned her to the wall, carefully.“Olive,” he whispered.“Don't call my name! Don't call me with that tongue of yours,” she cried. His heart began melting like butter in a hot skillet.“Don't cry,” he said and began wiping her tears with his thumbs. His eyes turned into a warm, shiny blue. Like an ocean filled with stars. She gasped.
It was like her feet was rooted to the ground. She just couldn't move away. Why did Wayne have to look so smoking hot?She watched as he pulled the sleeves from each of his hands. The way his muscles rippled underneath his skin. She wanted to place her hands on him and feel them moving. Goodness!“What is it?” Wayne asked as he noticed how she was staring at him. Olive was kicked out of her imagination. She shook her head to clear her mind then looked at him.“Huh?”“You were staring at me, Olive,” he drawled and she frowned. Was it a crime to stare? She wanted to roll her eyes. But instead she straightened the shirt in front of her and looked down at it.“I'm to wear this, I suppose,” she said in a formal tone of voice. Wayne exhaled and placed his fingers over his forehead again. Calming himself.“Yes,” he answered after a few seconds as he was bringing down his hand.&ldqu
Olive was really confused over what Wayne was saying. Why would Gia suddenly begin to come around him after she arrived when she hadn't even shown any interest in him while working with him for five years?“You just stood there when she kissed you. You stood there when she was spitting out bad words at me!” she blurted out. Wayne heaved a sigh. He swallowed and shut his eyes, then shifted back. Olive could see his fight with his wolf like it was a physical fight. He walked a little distance from Olive and palm the back of his head with both hands.“Fucking stay inside!” he barked with his back turned to Olive. It took him two minutes before he calmed down then turned back to face her. His hair was a bit longer and darker in tone. Even his face still seemed feral. What in the world is this man?“I didn't want to commit murder in front of you,” he simply replied with that same calm voice he had used to speak to Gia.“What? Murder? How does Gia kissing you have anything to do with you co
The Alpha and his mate soon went down for breakfast. Olive insisted they went to the pool before leaving the villa so they went there after breakfast.“It's so pretty here,” Olive mused as she gazed all around. Wayne was leaning against a tree with his hands in his pocket, and his eyes following her every move.“Why do you keep following me with your eyes like you suspect I'll escape again?” she asked jokingly as she was walking towards the pergola.“I can't seem to get enough of your figure,” he replied casually, like he wasn't flirting at all. Olive laughed and looked at him.“If you keep doing all that, you might fall in love with me soon,” she warned in a friendly way. He chuckled dryly and ruffled his hair.“How do people fall in love?” he asked. Olive's eyes furrowed.“Don't tell me you've never been in love,” she blurted. He shrugged and pocketed his hand again.“I don't know. I've had girlfriends before. Felt something for them all but it all pulled down to them being in my be
Alpha Knight fed himself with her fear and a smile curved amidst those killer fangs of his.“Well, I have missed you too. Can't wait to do what I love to do most with you,” he growled and gave her a resounding slap, slashing three of his claws across her face. She screamed as the blood poured down and pain seared through her entire being. She felt the electrified poison seeping in and the new wounds sizzled as if being fried in hot oil.The men around her didn't even flinch. They were like rigid statues, created only to frown without feelings.“You dare escape from me? Where did you think you were going to hide?!” Wayne boomed and grabbed her neck, piercing her skin and making blood flow down from it. She couldn't help herself because her hands were apart and chained to two mighty pillars. And gold...she was defenseless with gold.“Why don't you...why don't you release me and fight?” she grumbled. He raised his thick ey
Olive wanted to ask Wayne if something was wrong, but he looked relaxed and calm. If something was truly wrong, it would have reflected on his face as he was not someone to hide his displeasure. Therefore, she exhaled and decided to let it pass. Maybe she was just overthinking things. They began to eat their lunch in silence. But each of them was just waiting for the other to speak first. When the silence between them was becoming tiring, Wayne cleared his throat.“Ahem...hmm mm”Olive looked at him with furrowed brows. His gaze met hers.“Do you need water?” she asked, thinking he had choked on his food.“No. I'm good,” he replied and she stared at him still. He huffed and gulped down a glass of water to appease her.“Better. I don't want you choking until you turn red,” she stated then resumed eating. Wayne grinned and rested on his chair, using his knuckles to support his face again a
