134 Give Me A Chance To Love You

Beowulf’s POV

This is the first time I've seen Selene drunk. Last time at my father's funeral, her face turned red from drinking, but she wasn't drunk that day, she just pretended to be drunk to get out of my sight.

There is a difference between real and fake drunkenness. When Selene pretended to be drunk, she was no different than usual. She was still very quiet, taking every action with caution to avoid making me angry. But a really drunk Selene is like a different person. She became bolder, and made no secret of her emotions, staring at me with her eyes wide and her mouth pouting.

For the first time, I found her angry eyes looking cute.

"I'll take you back to the bedroom," I said, holding her waist.

"Don't touch me!" She said unhappily, trying to push me away.

I let go of my hand. "If you can walk on your own, I won't touch you."

"I can." She staggered forward a few steps, stumbled, almost fell to the ground.
