141 He Must Be Cold

Sibyl’s POV

"Sibyl, why didn't Beowulf send me any more messages?" My sister Selene asked me at night, as we sat chatting in the garden after a bath.

She tried to appear relaxed, but, as her sister, I could hear the tremor in her voice.

We haven't heard from Beowulf for almost a month. This is not good news.

I tried to put on a big smile and said to my sister in a light tone, "No news is good news. The war has been going on for some time now. I guess Beowulf will be busy ending the war and coming back to be with you."

"But..." Selene bit her lip. Her eyes showed worry, but she soon buried her feelings in her heart. She looked up at me and smiled and nodded. "Yes. I believe him."

My hand touched her shoulder, and I breathed a sigh of relief. My sister was very thin when she first came home, but now her body is getting healthy and energetic. She's been through so much pain, and I don't want her to be hurt by bad news again.
